"NO, WE'RE NOT SERVING THAT." Chip strictly said, scrunching his nose at the sight of the dry looking turkey. Tony chuckled, crossing his arms with a smile. "Of course we won't be eating that. I have an array of first class chefs at the ready. Do you really think I'd give you that cheap of a menu?" Under his breath, Eden muttered, making Y/n and Chip laugh.

"Rich people."

Faye, Eden's little sister, stayed quiet and shared glances with her brother before carefully taking the cup of water and sipping from it. Faye seemed a bit nervous and uneasy when it came to moving into the tower. For an eleven year old, she was fairly bright and defiant. She always made Eden promise to come back before he headed out and tended to wait till he came back.

It was a habit, hearing one door swing open and another close. A signal between all of them. A signal that the 'scared' little middle school student had snuck out of her bed and slid into her older brother's for comfort, security, and love. That's what was different, not hearing the routinely squeak or scraping between the bottom of the door and floor at one A.M.

Menace seemed to have a similar idea, taking over instantly once Y/n whispered. "Mask," She was once curled up in her blankets, now rising as a scary pile of red goo with razor sharp teeth, white eyes, and a slithery tongue. Slipping into Chip's room, a single string of it went towards him and shook him awake, his eyes widening before he too said, "Mask."

They didn't want to wake up Eden, knowing he'd freak on how they were going into his sister's room like that, or the other negative results. Opening the door, she let out a scream as Menace dissolved completely. On the bed, Faye laid uncomfortably as a small peridot colored slime worked its way up her arm. Clear as day, blood dripped down her neck, the needle still stuck.

"OH MY GOD! FRIDAY, GET TONY IN HERE!" She cried out, falling to her knees and using the sheets to slowly take out the syringe before quickly covering it. Eden practically burst in, a cry escaping his lips. "I'm such a fucking idiot. I-I heard a squeak, I thought it was from her door. Oh my fucking God." He blamed himself, pacing back and forth.

The rest was a blur between them; the transfer of Faye to the Med-bay, the panic of having to teach her, an eleven year old, how to use her new abilities. How to save the world. At such a young age? It was disturbing, to say the least. Eden had his hand wrapped around Faye's, her small and frail chest rising and falling rhythmically.

Just like Peter Parker's footsteps, rising and falling rhythmically in the afternoon of the same day. Behind him, his best friend, the guy in the chair, Ned Leeds. Strolling casually, they had absolutely no idea what had occurred just a few hours before. "Another break in," Is what they were greeted with, Tony working on upgrades to the security of the tower.

"How?" Peter questioned immediately after, his eyes following his mentor's movements with a trained gaze. Highly contradicting to Ned's stare from afar, out of awe and absolute admiration. His ears had completely blocked out what they were talking about, until now. "What about Y/n? Is she okay?" His eyebrows scrunched together. Was that the girl in the clips? Possibly.

"Yeah, she's in the infirmary with Faye, Eden, and Charlie." He waved him off, Peter beckoning Ned to follow him as they walked briskly towards the Med-bay. Through the glass walls, it was easy to see from there. Faye was on the bed, Eden holding onto her hand like his entire life depended on it. Chip sat, his head against the rim while Y/n's hand drew circles on Eden's back.

They were deep in conversation about something, small snippets of it, something Ned was able to pick up. It was a banter between the three, their eyes focused and eyebrows close together as they made rapid hand gestures or subtly glared at each other with disagreement.

"No, there's no way."

"Who knows? She's infected now. There's no point."

"Look, Charlie has a point. We don't have a choice."

"I'm not teaching my sister how to fucking fight!"

"We don't have a choice, Eden! Can't you see? Wouldn't you want her to defend herself?"

He growled, sky blue covering him out of anger and frustration. Instantly, Charlie and Y/n backed up, Menace and Midnight covering them both. Shooting out, their arms stuck to the wall and restrained Wisp from moving. Making their signature noises, they moved closer, sensing that Eden was calming down.

All three disappeared in unison, Y/n catching Eden as he fell apart in her arms. He sobbed, his voice cracking as he tugged at the shoulder of her shirt. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." The cloth balled up in his hands, sob after sob racked his body as his knees clashed against the cold floor.

"Faye is all I have, I'm all Faye has. M-Mom and Dad are gone. I couldn't save her." Distantly, her head tilted up from silently staring at the wall and comfortingly messing with his dirty blond locks and to the people at the door. "Not good timing, Peter." Charlie crossed his arms, cocking a brow as he glanced at the Asian behind him.

"Th-That's Ned, my best friend." He pointed to Ned momentarily, nervously stuttering. Charlie tapped his foot impatiently, letting out a stressful sigh before raking his hair back with a hand. It didn't help though, his brown curls flinging back to how they used to be. "Listen, you can give Y/n your stupid little kisses another time. Faye's passed out, Eden's breaking, and I need to call Ebony; now that I think about it."

The mention of another name confused Ned and Peter, their eyebrows moving closer together. Peter on the other hand, was more fearful of Y/n's 'stupid little kisses' being mentioned in front of Ned. "Either way, not a good idea, Peter. Nice to meet your little friend and see you again, but shit hit the fan pretty quick." He waved, closing the door and going back to Eden and Y/n.

Peter's head whipped to Ned, smiling nervously once Charlie moved away. "Don't worry about the little kisses. U-Uh, she just happens to like the chocolate a lot, so I usually get it for her." What he didn't know was that Chip froze, pretending to be distracted by one of Faye's machines. Instead, he froze because of what Peter said.

No matter the fact that he was dating his best friend.

He was going to fucking kill Peter Parker.
