"HEY DAD," Y/n froze, her eyes widening as she instantly became stiff. Tony whipped his head to her, eyes locking onto her with a wide eyed stare. He blinked a few times before registering her statement again, his leg stopped moving constantly. He smirked afterwards, watching her stay in one spot and reboot in a sense.
He mused, resting his cheek on his knuckles. "What did you just call me?" She speed walked over to the kitchen and went into the fridge, taking out a sandwich. In her hand, Y/n still had the sandwich clasped in her hand before she plopped down next to him. "Nothing," She ignored and took off the plastic on the sandwich, biting into it.
Mr. Stark's head popped up slightly, his eyes averting to an entrance a few feet away. He spoke up shortly after, watching Y/n and sipping from his glass of water. "Peter isn't coming in today, by the way. I told him to take a day off. He deserves one after all, the boy's been working with me for the past week."
Y/n just nodded, smiling and opening her phone. She pocketed it after and irked an eyebrow at Tony, giving a cocky smirk and shrugging lightly. "Funny, he seems to be using the day off to talk to me at a donut place." His jaw went slack before they lit up with amusement, his head tilting at that. "That boy's more smitten for you than he cares to admit."
She set her sandwich down, moving the hairband on her wrist closer as she quickly tied her hair up. Letting the ends flow down her back, Y/n sighed and ignored the vital reasoning of still having to fully brush her hair. Tony just stared at her, the amused flicker still lighting up in his eyes.
Y/n tapped her nails against the table while her other hand held the sandwich she took another bite out of. "I don't really want to think about love right now." The adult snorted, Pepper entering the room shortly after. "You're unbelievable." They shared quiet whispers while Pepper's head turned to Y/n, her hands on her hips.
"Did you know that Faye got a tattoo?"
Y/n shrugged, her shoulders rolling back into a relaxed position and chewing on the mouthful of food she had before answering Pepper politely. "Found out after she got it, actually. I don't know who took her; she still won't talk to me." They didn't push it, the adults sharing a look before leaving to possibly go scold Faye over it.
Finishing the last of her sandwiches, it was another hour or so until she was supposed to meet Peter at the small little donut shop near Delmar's. Going back to her room, untying her hair, and choosing a change of clothes, the girl went into the shower and let her thoughts run along with the water. She let her fingers constantly run in her h/c locks with the nice smelling shampoo.
It foamed and scrubbed thoroughly, cleaning out any dirt or grease that had built up over time since she had last shampooed her hair. After, she reached for the bottle of conditioner and let that thoroughly rather and rinse in as well. Finished with her hair routine, Y/n sighed and took a break by sliding her back against the shower wall.
Her eyes closed against the soft spray of the water. Her thoughts reverted back to what Tony had said about Peter before. Was the boy truly whipped for her? Y/n wasn't even sure if she was ready for a relationship again. Yes, he helped her move on from Charlie and Eden's deaths and they even silently and without communication, moved on from last year's events.
It was clear that he didn't plan on leaving her thoughts anytime soon. Her hands laced together as her mind reverted back to how Peter's hand fit so perfectly in hers. The two knew exactly how to comfort each other and didn't even have to make eye contact to know the emotions of each other.
How they cared for each other, how they always spoke up for one another, and how they just stuck by each other's sides in general. It wasn't like ordinary relationships and even Y/n had the guts to admit that. Both of them had changed over time immensely, Y/n had grown more stubborn and direct, more outspoken whilst Peter grew more considerate and gentle.
Shaking her head out of the trance that Peter had managed to put her in, she stood up and scrubbed the rest of her body using the expensive scented soap. After rinsing herself off again, the bubbles flowed away and swirled into the drain. The girl reached for the fluffy towel and wrapped her body before shaping her damp hair into a towel hat.
Opening the bathroom door, she let out a scared shriek when Faye hugged her. It was obvious that it was sincere, guilty tears running down her cheeks while she stepped back afterwards when Y/n yelped. Her voice cracked, "I'm s-sorry." Y/n laughed and smiled slightly, "It's alright, Faye. We all have our moments, yeah? I'm sorry too, y'know, for scolding you."
Faye smiled and wiped her cheeks, turning around politely to let Y/n change while she bounced back and forth between her heels. The girl took her hair out of her towel, letting it brush against the fibers of the cloth a few times before hanging up the towel again. "Where are you going? You usually never shower this early." The little one said, watching her.
Y/n walked out and went to her closet, picking out a comfy and fashionable outfit. Faye gazed at her, looking at her actions back and forth. Her eyes switched from the open closet and back to the pile of expensive clothes that grew, some of her own previous clothing that came from her luggage popping out from the pile each time.
She turned her head, her eyes meeting a book on the table. "O-Oh, by the way, your scrapbook that I packed. It's on the table over there. I-I was going to bring it over earlier, but I forgot by accident." She smiled nervously while Faye just grinned gratefully and skipped over, flipping through it and seeing dozens of stupid things in the pockets.
Some of them had little paper cupcake baking cups that were folded up and tucked away into the plastic pockets while others had some coins. Others held little minor things such as lockets or the baby teeth that she lost back in France. Faye glanced back from the scrapbook. "So, what are you getting dressed for?"
"I'm meeting Peter at a donut shop," She smiled.
"Oh, lover boy?"
