"HI," Ned nervously bounced on his heels at the front door, Y/n opening it and staring at it blankly. She seemed to run through her files of memory, thinking about and trying to link the face with the name. The girl snapped her fingers, whispering softly before letting the boy in. Crossing her arms, she cocked a brow.

"Tony's sleeping and I'm pretty sure Peter isn't here. Who are you here for?" Ned licked his lips before grinning slightly, fidgeting with his hands anxiously. "You, actually." Her eyes widened briefly before she regained her composure. Y/n stared at him, shaking her head with a bitter laugh afterwards. Her eyes seemed to shift into an interrogative state, narrowing.

She changed her stance and moved the majority of her weight on one leg as Ned looked her up and down. Clad in a large long sleeved gray shirt, black flannel sweatpants, and fuzzy socks; her hair was completely down and was laced with sweat, and some dust part. Of course, all the grease and unfashionable things could wash out with a simple scrub.

A light smile shaped his lips as air left his nostrils, the boy gazing at her. "What?" Her brows furrowed at his actions as one raised and the other one stayed straight. She attempted to look mean and direct, but Ned saw right through her act because of his optimistic attitude. Y/n continued to look at him, the boy full on grinning. "You really haven't changed, have you?"

She didn't say anything, her eyes dropping to her feet as she crossed her arms further. "What did you come here for, Ned?" He smiled sadly at her and adjusted the strings of his sweater that connected to the elastics of his hoodie, pulling down the ends of it as well. "I wanted to say sorry. F-For what I did a year ago, I mean. I didn't mean to set you off like that."

Y/n looked in his eyes, knowing that he was purely sincere. She fidgeted slightly and nodded at him, beaming at the innocent boy that was still involved in the situation somehow. "It's okay, Ned. Maybe would've been better set on the birthday occasion, y'know?" The girl joked, setting Ned at ease as he let out a sigh of relief and smiled.

Someone opened the door to their left, the two whipping their heads to Peter who had an exhausted and slightly curious look on his face. He stared at them quizzically, wanting to know what was going on, but knowing it wasn't his place. He shared a look with each of them, "U-Um, where's Mr. Stark?"

A loud yell sounded from the place he went off to shortly after, Tony storming out with the hat in hand and gritted teeth. In his other hand was an I.D., one that Y/n was particularly familiar with. With an angry look in his eyes, he looked around as they landed on her. "Where's Faye?" He questioned, Y/n shrugging and stuttering quickly. "S-She's with Ebony, I think."

Tony spun on his heel, marching somewhere else. Y/n's eyes went to Peter, the two locking gazes with each other while Ned fidgeted awkwardly and bounced back and forth on his heels and back to the tips of his toes. "What was that about?" Peter licked his lips in an anxious manner, pulling his bottom lip in between his teeth and daring to draw blood.

"We're not sure, but we might have a suspect. M-Mr. Stark used a DNA test." Y/n's brows furrowed, eyes narrowing slightly. "So, the guy wanted us to find out who he was?" Peter nodded feebly before his eyes averted to the hallway behind him, hearing Mr. Stark pace back and forth in the hallways and look for Faye.

Faye seemed to talk to Tony briefly, the card transferring to her hands as she read and scanned it shortly. Her jaw fell slack, eyes widening as she handed it back. Faye didn't say a word, going down the stairs and looking at Y/n with tear filled eyes. She wiped her eyes and frowned, "It's Mr. Morrison." Her face scrunched together. "What?" "The robot-guy, it's Mr. Morrison."

An hour later, Y/n was wandering the halls with a blank look on her face. It was still impossible to register, her trust being broken that easily. This man, the man who merely was supposed to take care of her grades, is the one that ended the possible bright future of her best friend? The one that infected Eden, Faye, and Charlie?

Walking by the bedrooms, she halted at the sound of a retched choke coming from the door of Charlie and Eden's bedroom. Opening it, she walked in and looked into the bathroom. Eden was keeled over the faucet as blood dripped from his mouth and even bits of bile. He looked absolutely horrid with pasty skin, popped out veins, and eye bags.

Charlie's hands were rubbing comforting circles on the blond boy's back, Eden letting out another choke as more blood flowed from his mouth into the sink. "You don't have much of a choice," He suddenly spoke up, the liquid spurting slightly and splashing onto the faucet and mirror of their bathroom.

The brown haired boy winced, his mossy eyes holding fear, worry, and concern as his glasses became more covered with water droplets from the running faucet. His eyes locked onto the side of Eden's face, a sigh leaving his lips. "We always have an alternative." Eden swooped his hair back and looked up as blood dribbled down his mouth and to his chin, collecting in drops.

"We don't; I'm past being cured. Just stick with the plan, Charlie." He said harshly, eyes glaring into Chip's before reverting back to the sink as he attempted to run water into his mouth. Cupping the water that poured from the faucet, he washed out his mouth and spat it out, repeating the process for about three times.

The blood and water mixture drained down the porcelain sink and into the sewers, staining some water with a light pink. Eden grabbed a hand towel, stuffing it into his mouth and biting on it to take the rest of the blood and water out before tossing it to their laundry basket at the left near the bathroom door. "Just stick with the plan and we'll be fine."
