"YOU HAVE TO GAIN CONTROL," Y/n advised for about the umpteenth time, watching Wren wince as they struggled from reverting back to themselves. Scream, their own version of Venom, was absolutely terrifying and much more reckless than any of the others. Scream refused to cooperate, communicate, or to work together in general.
Scream just happened to be a bit of a tough nut to crack, in Y/n's point of view. Wren had been struggling with it too, dealing with her complaints and nagging about the annoying virtue of teamwork. It didn't help that Viva's own version of Venom, Crimson, tended to make fun of Scream in its own version of low vibrations.
The team would always wake up early from someone in the kitchen or knocking on the doors, but most notably, it'd been Wren losing control in the middle of the night and Scream quite literally sticking to her name. The shrieks that she gave were absolutely horrendous to the point that Tony reconstructed Wren's room to have soundproof walls.
Crimson was busy sparring with Esther on the side, the green Venom quickly ducking and making a soft purr before throwing a punch at her leg. Crimson hissed momentarily, winding back and knocking the wind out of Esther with a straight punch across her chest. The peridot Venom skidded back, wheezing heavily.
Though Crimson was a bit new, she didn't fail to show her power. Crimson was incredibly strong when it came to melee attacks and was incredibly useful in stealthy missions or quick ones with enhanced agility and reaction time, along with extreme coordination. As much as her physical things were intact, she wasn't the quickest thinker.
Crimson often panicked if it came to stressful situations that Y/n would set for them, a way to train them into getting used to the environments that they might be facing in the same future. It was Y/n's version of showing love, tough love to be specific. It was to protect them from what happened before, that way they'd know what to do next time, or have a longer time alive.
Fixing her ponytail, Y/n surveyed her surroundings whilst Faye recovered from the attack and laid on the ground. Esther disappeared from her petite figure, the girl blinking tiredly up at the ceiling as exhaustion took over her body. Crimson went away soon after, Viva slumping against a wall with a sigh of her own.
Wren, on the other hand, was sitting with her back on the wall with an opened water bottle and some of the liquid lining her lips. "We'll take the day off. I don't want to push all of you that much." Y/n pushed some of her bangs back, pulling them away from her sweaty forehead and slightly airing out her damp tank top.
They all nodded, letting another wheeze escape their lips as Y/n used her remaining strength to walk out the door. Her legs felt like jelly, having kicked the punching bag multiple times to work on the strength of her own calves. Heading to her room, she ran into an equally sweaty Peter with a towel around his neck, a small smile on his lips. "Hey."
She inclined back at him, letting out a shaky greeting of her own. He'd just finished training with Natasha, apparently. Y/n find it a bit amusing, spider with spider bonding time. Peter had laughed at her joke at that, coming up with a nerdy comeback and making her giggle and roll her eyes back.
The two had wandered far from their rooms and to the kitchen instead, Peter cracking a Gatorade open before passing a Gatorade to her too. "Thanks, it's been a while since I had one of these, to be honest." Taking a sip of the one she got, the previous flavors that she'd tried came into her mind as she reminisced over them briefly.
Peter agreed, sitting beside her with a bowl of strawberries that he'd found in the fridge set on the counter as well. Picking one, he tossed it into his mouth and swallowed it before taking a swig of his own Fruit Punch flavored drink. "Same, I haven't had one in a while either." The two shared a short grin, Mr. Stark walking in after a few minutes.
"You finished training with them?" He inquired, taking some cookies out of the pantry and chewing on them slowly. One of his eyebrows were quirked at Y/n, Peter looking between the two interestedly and popping another piece of fruit into his mouth. "Yeah, Wren's still working on gaining control and Crimson beat the Hell out of Esther."
Peter chuckled softly, taking another sip of his drink. Tony nodded, chewing another cookie and walking out, most likely heading back to his lab or to annoy Pepper. Faye came in shortly after, pouting. "I heard what you said. I didn't lose that horribly, Y/n. I put up a good fight, at least." Viva retorted, filling her sports water bottle up with a snort.
"Mhm, might explain the blooming bruise on your abdomen, bambina."
Faye huffed, crossing her arms and stealing a strawberry. Y/n and Peter shared a look, both equally amused as they surveyed the banter between the stubborn girl and cocky Italian. Not taking another piece of the argument, Viva shook her head and closed the cap of her water bottle, a grin on her lips. "Ah, quit it. I'm going to take a shower, I feel disgusting."
The little girl followed after, attempting to continue the argument with a determined and childish glint in her eyes. Peter chewed on the strawberry, its sweetness and tinge of sour bursting in his mouth with a satisfying mix of flavors that pleased his taste buds. "Are they always like that?"
Y/n snorted softly, taking a fruit that he was reaching for with a smug look. "Usually, too busy kicking each other's asses when they're training though." She shrugged, twisting the bottle cap of her Gatorade again and taking a sip before closing it in case it spilled from one of her movements. Peter smiled, "Huh, must be quite the funny show."
"It never fails to entertain, Parker."
