"YOU CAN'T JUST KEEP IGNORING THE TRUTH," Viva bit into an apple, looking directly at Faye who guiltily looked down. The girl had gotten reckless in the past two days, the others following her orders and knowing her intentions fully. First it was the cut hair, Faye getting it cut to a bob that curled slightly on its own.

She dyed it soon after, the top being amber and soon turning into a peach colored ombre. Lastly, it was the tattoo. Right on her collarbone, what seemed to be a paradise was imprinted directly on her skin, but it was small. Viva, Wren, and Ebony, who had gone with her when she got it, already knew what it represented.

The Garden of Eden in the bible, also commonly known as 'paradise'. Just as Wren was about to open their mouth, they froze when Y/n walked in and grabbed a carton of milk before reaching into the pantry for the cereal. With Menace's help, she carried both easily and turned her head. She smiled weakly at Faye. "Nice hair. . . and tattoo."

The girl didn't say anything and gave a blank stare, Y/n's gaze faltering as her head dropped slightly, but she carried the food with her anyways. "Where are you going with that?" Viva looked at her curiously, having it odd that someone was about to carry the entire cereal ensemble with her upstairs. Y/n stammered, looking down. "Netflix binge with Peter."

Wren looked up into the cupboard, grabbing the bowls and tossing them backwards. Viva quickly caught them and cursed to Wren something in Italian before gently handing the bowls to Y/n and bidding her a goodbye. The girls began bickering, Ebony walking into the room with a curious look and rubbing her eyes tiredly.

"All of you woke me up from my nap. Can't you all be quieter?" She pleaded, moaning and reaching for her favorite box of cereal and freezing when she couldn't find it. Viva shrugged, Wren glancing up and sighing before jabbing her thumb backwards. "Y/n took it," Ebony let out another loud moan. "Damn it."

Flopping onto the stool, the girl rested her head on her arms. The stairs thumped rapidly before Peter skidded to a stop in the middle of the kitchen, their eyes on him. Some of them stared at him in curiosity, Faye glancing at him with slight anger whilst Ebony just blankly stared at him. "Y-Y/n got the wrong cereal and sh-she forgot spoons," He stammered. He set the cereal box down, much to Ebony's delight.

Peter dropped the spoons a few times, cursing softly and rushing. As he turned around and walking back, Faye stopped him with a dead look. "Hey!" He gazed at her, blinking rapidly and turning at her. She looked him dead in the eye as her half of her heart told her to shut up, along with her brain. Yet, somehow, the remaining half of her heart won over.

With a bland smirk, she stared at him. "Tell her to go fuck herself," Wren stiffened, Viva's eyes whipping towards Faye while Ebony's head shot up and her teeth grit. Peter's jaw fell slack, his eyes popping wide before he took another step forward and instantly froze. Y/n emerged from the wall that separated from the hall, her voice cracking. "Is that what you really think of me?"

Her eyes were teary as a pang of regret shot through Faye, her fists clenching stubbornly at her sides as she refused to spit out an apology. The girl was sobbing now, but still managed to get her words out just fine. "I've done so much for you. Hell, I treated you like a sister. I know you're going through depression, it was your brother for fuck's sake."

Wiping her cheeks, she swatted Peter's hand away when he attempted to lace his fingers with hers to calm her down. Her intentions were clear, she didn't want to calm down. Y/n was tired of bottling up all her emotions inside and not being allowed to perceive them as she desired, and now she finally could.

"I'm tired of you treating me like I don't exist. I tried, Faye. I tried. I would do anything for them to be alive right now, and I really wish it was me and not them because by God, they deserved to live such a beautiful life. Either way, I'm always here to support you and things, but I can't help you if you won't let me." She finished clearly, her throat closing up afterwards.

Faye's brown eyes pooled with tears of her own, the girl wanting nothing more than to hug the girl in front of her, but Y/n quickly caved in. Y/n grasped Peter's hand and the boy could already tell how urgent it was, how broken and crushed she was at that moment. It was obvious that she just wanted to cuddle into him and let him reassure her that it was all okay.

He kept up with her pace, shooting an apologetic and gentle look towards Faye before following behind Y/n. The two sped up the stairs before they went onto the bed. They cuddled into each other, her head rested against his chest as he ran his fingers through her hair to calm her down and let her relax.

Y/n closed her eyes against the actions and let a sigh pass her lips, a small pout forming them afterwards. "Did I do something wrong, Peter? Did I say something awful?" Peter seemed to ponder momentarily on the correct answer before answering truthfully and rubbing her arm up and down. He kissed the top of her head, the first sign of affection since last year.

She didn't mind, letting him doing it as it merely made her calmer and more drowsy as the TV blared with some Netflix show that she didn't bother to pay attention to anymore. Peter spoke softly, consistently running his hand down her hair and untangling the little knots. "You didn't. It's just human to let your emotions out sometimes."

"It's human?" Y/n whispered, growing more and more sleepy. He nodded, pressing his lips again onto the top of her head with a small smile. "Yeah, it's human." Humming, Y/n laughed and acted like a drunk version of herself before falling asleep soundly because of his actions. "I'm not human, though. I'm a hybrid."
