HER PHONE BUZZED, the girl scrolling through in confusion.

spider babe 🕷 | 10:00 p.m.
hey, I just ditched a lame party.
do you think we can sneak the last
pieces of candy from those crabby
neighbors on your street? not if you
haven't already, i'd expect that from
you.

y/n | 10:04 p.m.
totally down w/ that. meet u at the
(y'know it) curb? love u xx

spider babe 🕷 | 10:07 p.m.
yeah, see you there. love you too.

Y/n smiled at the texts, pocketing her phone and slipping out through the window of the room of the Avengers tower that Tony had so generously lent Y/n, Chip, Eden, and Faye; Eden's little sister. She swung around for a bit, swiftly landing at the curb and directly under the street lamp as Peter's arms moved up, hands drawing circles at her hips.

"Hey," He greeted, a kiss following soon after. She smiled against his lips, cherishing the moment for all that it was worth. It was warm, soft, and comforting all at once. Pulling back, it was her turn to greet him with a smile similar to his. "Hey." He ran a hand through his curly hair, nose scrunching at the thought. "It feels like we haven't talked in forever."

Y/n giggled, joking as she looped her arms around his neck and pressed her forehead against his chest, near the bottom of his neck. "Yeah, I know. Must be all the training we're being put through and your little Spidey duties; it keeps both of us busy enough." She excused, placing another chaste kiss on his jawline.

He hummed in response, eyes closing before reopening with a boyish smile and a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. "Candy won't steal itself, Y/n." It was quite possibly her first Halloween with Peter, but as pumped as she was to steal candy with her boyfriend from a bunch of judgmental people in New York, especially on her street, she was even more excited for Christmas.

The winter snow, whirling winds, hot chocolate, excuses to stay home from school; Y/n loved all of it. She was even happier to know it was her second Christmas with Peter, how he dropped in late at night after spending the day with his aunt and promised to owe them by celebrating New Years with them. Peter did. He kept his end of the promise.

Of course, Chip decided to pull a little holiday twist, forcing them under the mistletoe and putting it on Christmas cards to send to their families. Y/n was absolutely livid when she found out, it was a mixture of embarrassment, concern, worry, and reactions of overwhelming calls from her parents back in California, asking about this 'new boyfriend of hers'.

In the end, it was cleared up and pretty pointless to tell their parents about anyways. It's not like Chip's parents or Y/n's parents ever listened. They were pretty much left alone to raise themselves. Except Chip since he had Annaliese, a wonderful older sister, wife, and a darling of a mother.

"First house," Peter snapped her out of her trance, knocking on the door and ringing the bell a few times before grabbing her hand and asking her for a favor. "Swing us up with Menace," He smiled, not knowing how it worked and interested to see. He had only ever swung around with web fluid, nothing as natural or instinctive as this.

They rose a bit, landing near one of the higher windows. As expected, an angry and grumpy looking man opened the door and yelled about teenagers a bit before retreating upstairs again. Thus, giving the teens enough time to slip in through the window and close it quietly so the older man wouldn't be concerned.

They headed downstairs into the kitchen, tiptoeing as Peter opened the pantry and found two large bags of candy. It was obvious that they were sold on sale. What would an elderly person do with two bags of candy? Peter took one, leaving the other out of slight hospitality and genuine care. They opened the front door again, escaping through it.

Y/n immediately had to wrap one arm around Peter and the other shot forward, landing them on a roof not long after as he nearly burst into giggles right then and there. He had nearly given away their location. "It's a stealth mission, Peter!" She scolded, smacking his shoulder playfully as she bit into a piece of the candy, a smile gracing her lips soon after.

"We still got the candy, don't we? What do we have? Two more houses to go?" He mused, biting into a Snickers and chewing it thoughtfully as Y/n shrugged and munched on the candy bar. "We can hit as many houses as you want. As long as I'm with you, y'know? Doing this thing, it isn't as fun when doing it alone." She smiled.

"I know," Peter laughed softly, placing his left hand over her right hand in a comforting manner as she looked up ahead with a yawn. "All that swinging around wears me out. No wonder you come to my place to crash." She muttered, burying her face into the softness of his sweater. The web shooters slightly brushed against her shoulder as he wrapped an arm around her.

"Yeah, no shit. I'll just drop you off back at the tower, okay? We can pull more of this shit next year or tomorrow night, if you want."

Too tired to respond, she merely let out a mix of a moan and hushed whisper. He tilted his head back, suppressing another laugh out of pure adoration and affection, keeping the sounds trapped inside. Delicately placing a kiss on her forehead, he pulled back. Peter stashed the candy away and kept it on Y/n's shirt by using the stickiness of his webs.

Swinging, he landed at a slight tilt and scuffed his shoes lightly on the carpeted floor. His eyes widened at the material, that entire rug was worth more than his life! Shaking his head out of the thought, he placed her in bed and tucked her in before giving her another kiss. "I love you," He reminded, even though she wasn't awake as he crept out of the window, locking it.

Out of mind and out of sight.
