Chapter 26

Bailey's POV

Dinner last night and breakfast this morning went the same way. All of us quiet not a word said

Kendyll is always quiet but Ryleigh huffed while eating her chocolate chip pancakes

I see how it bothers my mom, I rolled my eyes at this situation, I stood up and grabbed my backpack and putting it on my back

"B you didn't finish your breakfast" my dad says

"I'm not hungry" I say as gave him a hug and my mom a kiss on her cheek before leaving out the kitchen's door and to my truck

I got in and started it and pulled my driveway and on my way to school

I pull into a regular parking spot, I turned off my truck and looked out the window to see Bruce Sowenski showing off his new Jeep with Lexi by his side

He starts to makes out with her, tongue and all, I felt disgusted and I felt angry that Lexi didn't stop him from shoving his tongue down her throat

I got out the my truck with my bag on my shoulder and keys in my hand, and I walked towards the school

I glance up at her and when she looked at me I turned my view down

The rest of the day went slow, slower than usual and basically killed me, third hour was okay since Lexi skipped I'm guessing to be with Bruce

I completely skipped lunch spent time in my time on the football field

So when it was the end of the day I was pretty excited to leave this dreadful place

I got in my truck and watch as Lexi sat in Bruce's truck, stretching in her notebook while listening to her music as she usually do

I did a small smile to myself then I saw Bruce sit down next to her, I started my truck and drove out the parking lot

Instead of going home I decided to go over Grant's house, since I haven't hung out with him in a while

I parked my car and turned it off leaving my bag inside only taking the keys with me

I walked to the porch and knocked I waited only couple second before my aunt Emily opened the door

"Oh My Bailey!" She says

"Hi Auntie" I say

"Come on in" She says letting me in and I closed the door behind me

"How've you been?" She asked

"Good, is Grant home?" I asked

"Yeah, he's in his room" she says

"Thanks" I say walking upstairs to Grant's room, I knocked first and he said "come in"

I walk in shutting the door behind me, I look at Grant whose sitting on his bed playing fornite

"Hey" I say

"Hi" he says without looking at me

"How was your day at school?" I asked

He didn't respond only continued playing fornite

"Grant?" I say but he doesn't say anything

"Grant!" I say again but he still doesn't respond

I sighed before going over to his tv and turning off his Xbox

He stood up "Dude What The Hell!" He says

"Oh that got your attention" I say

He rolled his eyes before sitting down on his bed and he got on his phone

"Grant what's with you?, you've been acting so weird for the last couple days" I say

"Yeah I've been acting weird" he says sarcastically

"What is that suppose to mean?" I asked

He puts down his before looking me in my  eyes

"Maggie told me, she saw you making out with some girl in the school's parking lot" he says crossing his arms

Lexi went straight to my mind "so that's what's bothering you?" I asked

"No, what's bothering me is you didn't tell me, we're bros we tell each other everything" he says

"You didn't tell me about Maggie for two months" I say

"Only because you had a grudge against her" he says

"With good reason" I say

"Right your the man, sent his own sisters to beat her up" he says

"What?" I asked confused

"Maggie told me after the situation happened between you and her in middle school , Kendyll and Ryleigh jumped her, black eye, bloody nose and busted lip" he says

"I didn't send them to retaliate for me, I didn't even know they did that " I say

"You honestly didn't know?" He asked

"No" I shook my head

"Oh" he says

"Look, I would never put a girl between us so if you wanna know about her just ask" I say sitting next to him

"For Real?" He asked

"Yeah" I nodded

"Who is she?" He asked

"Lexi" I say

"Really?" He says

I nodded

"We started talking because we was partnered for an art project, then we went to that party together where I got into a fight with Bruce" I say

"You told me you didn't go with her!" He said

"I lied, sorry" I say

"Just continue" he says

"After I fought Bruce, I lost my virginity to Lexi" I say

"You hooked up with her?!" He asked

I nodded

"Oh My God Bro!" He says mind blown patting my shoulder

I laughed at how he reacted

"So what happened next?" He asked

I told him everything about our secret spot where we go to hangout or make out. I also told him that she just told me that she had boyfriend

"Bruce Fucking Sowenski!?" He asked

"Yep" I say

"She's dating Bruce Sowenski?" He asked

I nodded

"Wasn't he one of those jerks who jumped Gabe?" He asked

"Yep" I say

"That's it we're fighting him, he isn't gonna take your girl and get away with it" he says

"No Grant!" I stopped him

"Bailey, you gotta teach him a lesson" he says

"Grant, she told me she loves him so it's not worth" I say

"I'm sorry bro, she's fucked up your great guy" he says

"Thanks" I say

Grant invited me to play fornite I'm guessing it's his way to cheer me up and it kinda worked even though I'm terrible at fornite

I stayed over his house for a another hour before going home
