Bailey's POV
After I dropped off Grant and Maggie at Grant's plus dodging Grant's questions
I drive straight to the milkshake shop, Lexi and I parent's use to take us here all the time it was our favorite place when we was younger
I already see Lexi's car here so I parked my truck before getting out my car I locked it and put the keys in my back pocket
I walked into the shop and look around for Lexi but didn't see her until she called my name
"Bailey!" She waves at me
I smiled as I walked towards her, I sat down across from in the booth
"I thought for a second there you were gonna stand me up" she says
"no never" I say
"I already ordered us a milkshake" she says
"you remember my milkshake order?" I asked
"yeah, I bet you remember mines" she says
"don't know if you still like a strawberry milkshake with whipped cream" I shrugged
"I knew it" she laughed
And just in time Mr. Brown comes to us with our milkshake "Hey Mr. Brown!" Lexi and I say in unison
"If it isn't Lexi Parker and Bailey Dolan!" He says surprised
"I haven't seen you since you two were babies" he says getting nostalgic
"Long time no see" he says
"You too Mr. Brown" I say as he handed us out milkshake
"Hey if you need anything just shout" he says before leaving us
We both take a sip of our milkshake, mine was a chocolate milkshake with whip cream and a cherry on top
"I will never get tired of Mr.Brown's milkshake" I say
"Me neither" Lexi says reaching over and taking my cherry and eating it
I gasped "you didn't" I say
Making her laugh
I take a spoon and take a chunk outta her whip cream she gasped "now that's just down right disrespectful" she says smiling
"So how's my portrait coming?" I asked
"It's coming" she says
"I can't wait to start on yours" I say
"I remember you doodling when we was younger, do you even still draw?" She asked
"I sketch ... a little" I say
"How are you gonna paint a portrait?" She asked
"YouTube I don't know but I'll figure it out" I shrugged
We laughed and talked about everything, bonded over new and old things
Then time was up and she needed to get home, I paid for both of our milkshake and walked her to her car
"Ugh my mom's are gonna be pissed!" She complains until she looks up at me
"What you staring at Dolan?" She asked
"You, Parker" I say taking her chin and kissing her on the lips, she was taken back at first but soon kissed back before I pulled away
"Get home safe" I say
"You too" she says as she walks and get into her car
I got in my car and sat there as I watched her driving out the parking lot before I even started up my car
Once I did, I put my seatbelt on before I drove out the parking lot and on my way home

I pulled into the driveway and turned off my car, putting my keys in my bag, I take my stuff and get out closing the door behind me
I walk into the door that's connected to the kitchen, I set down my bag and closed the door behind me and locking it
I hear yelling mostly my mom, I quietly walked to the doorway in the living room to see my mom and dad
My mom looks stress while my dad is trying to calm her down,
" I can't do it anymore Grayson!" She says
"Lilly, your drunk!" My dad says
"So what if I am!, it's the only way I'm suppose to go through my day without breaking" she says
"I need him Grayson" she says
"And we'll get him, the DNA test is coming back in a couple weeks" my dad says
"You said that last week and week before and week before that" she breaks down
My dad pulls my mom into a hug "it's gonna be okay" he says
"I should of said no to being their surrogate, then he would already be in my arms" she says
"That test is gonna come back and it's gonna say 100 million % he's ours and he'll be in your arms in no time I promise" he says rubbing her head
I tried to walk to the stairs without being noticed but my shoes made the floor creak
"Bailey?"
I look up to see my mom and dad looking at me
"Hey" I say pretending I didn't just see what happened
"You missed dinner, where were you?" My mom asked
"I was over Grant's house, I had dinner over there" I lied
"Next time call or text us where you are" my dad says
"Okay" I nodded
"Go get ready for bed" my mom says
I nod "night" I say
"Goodnight" they both say as I walk towards the stairs to see Ryleigh and Kendyll sitting on the stairs they must was listening to mom and dad yelling
They stared at me before walking back upstairs, and I followed them upstairs and I went into my room
