Chapter 25- Back

Chrim's PoV

I thought there'll be a warm welcome for ate Lance and me from the admins of the Academy but an empty office of the admins welcomed us.

"Where are they?" I asked myself but of course I don't have the answer to my own question. I grab my bag and went out of the admins' office. Something's not right. The atmosphere doesn't feel so good at all.

"Ate Venus!" Thank God I run unto her.

"What's happening here? Where are the other admins?"

"Nasa hospital." Sagot nito na ikinahinga ko ng maluwag. How stupid of you Chrim, of course they'll be there dahil gising na si Elle--

"Mariel's in critical condition. Hindi pa rin malinaw ang motibo ng pagbaril--," she was cut off when I dropped my bag on the floor.

"P-pagbaril? She was shot? Kailan? A-anong nangyari?" I felt a hand touches my shoulder.

"Have you eaten?" I heard Kuya Melrein's voice behind me. I look at him with pleading eyes.

"Nasaan si ate Mariel? I-I need to see her, so as Elle." I said as I hold both of his arms, his right hand's still touching my shoulder.

"Hey, hey calm down. Wag kang magpanic, Elle's finally fine and I know Mariel will also be fine soon. You don't have to--," I cut him off.

"She said she's in critical condition!" I shouted na tila ikinagulat nya.

"I-I'm sorry, I was just--," he cut me off this time.

"Ligtas na si Mariel mula sa critical na kondisyon kaya nga nakabalik na ako dito. Now, you have to eat first bago kita dalhin doon." He said at isinukbit sa kanya ang bag ko before pulling me to the cafeteria.

"What do you want to eat?" He asked. I didn't bother answering, hindi ko alam kung ano'ng isasagot ko. Damn! I wanna see both ate Mariel and Elle.

He sighed and went to the foods at nagtuturo na bago bumalik dito with loads of food on the tray.

"C'mon just eat and I'll take you there." He said and made me hold a clubhouse sandwich na may plastic pa. He started to unwrap the tip at hinawakan ang kamay ko para ilapit sa bibig ko ang sandwich which sends fvcking electrical unknown feeling in my body. I look at him in surprise. He just stares at me at inilapit pa lalo ang sandwich sa bibig ko. As soon as the sandwich touches my lips, I opened my mouth and took a bite.

"How's your contest?" He asked.

"I won... 3rd place, hindi mo nabalitaan?" I asked.

"I did. I was asking how was it, the experience, the flow of the contest. C'mon give me some details." He said na ikinangiti ko. Ang cute niya kasi.

"It was fun and marami rin akong natutunan sa mga nagtalk noong awarding. I was actually wondering why the talk was after the contest and not before. Oh well, maybe t'was really for those who needs motivation more. I mean, sa mga pinanghinaan ng loob dahil hindi nakasungkit." I said. Napatango tango naman siya.

"Pero grabe ha, hakot kayong magpinsan." Natawa ako sa sinabi nya.

"Grabe ka din sa term mo, dalawang places lang naman." I said.

"Yeah, buti hindi natakot yung second place sa inyo. Naipit ba naman siya ng dalawang Jioson e."

"Ang hard mo ha, naipit ka dyan." I said at pinunasan ng tissue ang labi ko.

"I was just trying to distract you, tingnan mo naubos mo na yung tinapay." Kung ganoon ay ang galing nya ngang mang distract. Nawala sa isip ko yung tungkol kayna Ate Mariel kahit papaano at sumagi sa isip kong hindi pa ako naglalunch.

"Ang dami mo namang inorder." Kumento ko.

"Ngayon mo lang napansin?" He asked. Dahan dahan akong tumango. He grabs a delight at sinuksukan iyon ng straw bago ininom. Inabutan nya naman ako ng chuckie na sinuksukann niya na din ng straw.

As he sips, kinuha nya yung burger at tinanggal ang plastic sa ibabaw at iniabot sa akin.

"Are you planning to make me go to the comfort room?" I asked directly.

"Maybe." He casually said as he made hold the burger. Grabe, at syempre dahil nga hindi pa ako naglalunch ay hindi na ako nagpapilit pa't kinain na din yung burger. He opened the plastic of the nachos at paunti unti iyong kinain.

"Mayo." I said as I look in the nachos.

"Ha?"

"Kuha kang mayo!"

"Aanhin mo?"

"Sasawsawan ng nachos."

"Ahh." Sabi nito at parang narealize na ang sinabi ko. He stood up and went to the counter para humingi ng mayo.

In fairness, ang sarap nya--ng kasama sa food trip. Hahaha

"Oh." Inilapag nya ang platito na may maraming mayo. Waaaah, I love it!

"Hindi halatang gutom ka." He said.

"Hehe, di pa ako naglalunch e."

"What? Bakit hindi mo sinabi? Puro tinapay at junk foods ang pinili ko, akala ko meryenda mo na." He said at akmang tatayo.

"Where are you going?" I asked.

"Gonna get some rice for you." He said.

"Wag na!"

"No. Dapat kumain ka ng rice."

"May tinapay na dito oh."

"No, you still need rice. Tigilan mo muna yan."

"Pasta na lang! Carbonara. Please?" Tinitigan nya pa ako saglit bago nagbuntong hininga at tinalikuran na ako para pumunta ulit sa counter.

Ngiting ngiti naman ako nang makita ang dala nyang platong may Carbonara. I was about to get more nachos nang tampalin nya ang kamay ko.

"Eat the pasta first." He said. I pouted before holding the fork and started eating the Carbonara.

After eating, I asked our driver na ihatid kami sa hospital. Hindi na ganoon kabigat ang nararamdaman ko pero nang makita ko si Ate Mariel ay nanlambot ako.

Good thing kuya Melrein's behind me and catched me as soon as I fell.

A/N: Dapat kagabi pa ito e, kaso nainis ako kasi nagclose bigla yung app ko, then pagbukas ko ulit ng app, ayaw na mag-open nung chapter. Nagbukas lang siya after 20 or 25 mins na yata and the 250+ words that I've typed was back to 10 words so natulog na lang ako. Hehe

Anyway, ito na! Sana na-enjoy niyo kasi na-enjoy ko yung pinuntahan naming wedding kanina kahit hindi halata kasi ang tagal magserve ng foods. -_- Ayon, skl. I love weddings kasi and I would love to have my own someday of course with the man I love. Kahit na takot talaga ako. Hahaha
