Maya's POV

Lucas pulled up to the crab shack and stepped out of the car. I got out of the car too and looked up at the sign.

We used to come here all the time as kids and eat tons of crabs. The boys would always have eating contests and Riley and I would just sit there.

Farkle and Lucas always did stuff together. They stopped doing things together once Lucas became a senior. They both went their own ways and did different things.

"You coming," Lucas laughed.

"After you," I said pointing to the door.

Lucas walked in first and followed behind him. He walked up to some guy and they both hit hands.

"Hey Maya you can sit here," Lucas said pointing to a table.

"Alright," I said.

"Lucas is this your girlfriend," some lady said walking out to us.

I blushed.

"No, no, no," Lucas said, "This is my friend Maya."

"Well it's nice to meet you Maya," she said sticking out her hand.

"Hi it's nice to meet you," I said shaking her hand.

"Kate," she said.

"Kate it's nice to meet you," I said.

"Kate owns the crab shack now," Lucas said.

"Are you looking for a job Maya?" Kate asked.

"No she's no-" Lucas tried before I interrupted.

"Lucas I can answer for myself. Is there a job opening?" I asked.

"There sure is you start right now," she said hanging me an apron.

"Don't embarrass me," Lucas said going over the counter.
