Maya's POV

After work was over Lucas and I sat down for a little while and ate some chips. We didn't say a whole lot to each other just a few things. A boy walked over to us who looked familiar.

"Lucas you coming to the party tonight?" He asked.

"What party?" I asked.

"Drake's having his block party tonight," Lucas said.

Oh it was Drake's. Drake always had a party every year at the beginning of summer. As a kid Riley and I were never aloud to go to the party but this year I was 16.

"You can come too if you want," Drake said.

"Alright," I said.

"Alright your coming or alright you aren't coming," Lucas asked.

"Alright," I said.

"I like her," Drake said, "But anyway I'd better get home so I can set up for the party."

"See you later tonight," Lucas said.

"Bye," Drake said before disappearing.

"You aren't going tonight," Lucas said picking up another chip.

My smile faded away, "Why not?"

"Drake is my age and so are all of his friends."

"So."

"That means there will be drinking."

"That doesn't mean I have to drink."

"Maya."

"You don't have to babysit me anymore I'm 16."

"I know that I just don't want you to end up like me."

"There's nothing wrong with you," I said standing up, "We should probably get back now."

"Probably," Lucas said pulling his keys out.

"Can I drive?" I knew he would say no.

Lucas laughed, "Don't you remember that time you drove the golf cart into pool."

When Lucas was probably around the age of 8 he got a toy golf cart that he never let me drive. One day when Lucas and Farkle were sitting on the side of the pool with Topanga I got into golf cart and drove it straight into the pool. Lucas wasn't mad at me after that he just loved to bring it up all the time.

"I was like 5 okay," I said hitting his arm.

"Oh well I'm still driving," he said walking back towards his car.
