Maya's POV

I'm walking to Freddie's house running through my head about what I'm going to tell him. When I get to his house I ring the bell. He answers after the ring.

He smiled when he saw me there, "Hey what are you doing here?"

"Hey," I wanted to prolong the conversation.

"Did we have something planned tonight?" he asked.

"No I just need to tell you something," I looked down at my feet.

"Okay why don't you come in."

"I'd rather do this outside."

"Is it serious? Did something happen because you can tell me?" He stepped over to me a touched my shoulder.

"No nothing like that."

"Okay then what is it?"

"It's a funny story."

"Okay I like funny stories."

"Your going to laugh when I tell you," I said.

"Tell me what?" he smiled.

"Farkle he likes me."

Freddie looks at me for a moment, "What?"

"Isn't that funny," I laughed.

"Maya." his arm dropped of from my shoulder.

"Why does everyone keep saying my name like that."

"I can't keep doing this."

"Doing what?"

He points to me, "This. Us."

"Why not?"

"I can't compete with everyone," he said backing away from me.

"Everyone."

"Lucas and Farkle."

"I don't like them."

That was a lie. Lucas was my first love and Farkle was my best friend. I would always love them.

"Maya," he gives me the look Riley gave me earlier.

"What?"

"We are never going to see each other again so I think we should just end things here."

I walked over towards the steps and I didn't even turn around when I said, "Goodbye."

I was half way past his steps when he yelled, "I'm sorry."

I took off running once I pasted his house. I needed to up to the dock to see him.
