CHAPTER 34

It was another day in New York City, my friend Gabby and his girlfriend Bella, Veronica and myself were out having a good time at the beach. As we sat in the sand watching people swim and enjoy themselves as well.

In a short while, we headed to one of the bar's at the beach to get some drinks, as Veronica fed me with unnecessary conversation I wasn't interested in. I literally wanted to shut her up, but I couldn't as I kept my cool. I then decided to keep myself busy with my phone since it was the only option for me to distract myself from her nonsense talk.

"King you good?" Gabby asked and I looked up at him.

"I'm okay but I will appreciate if you tell Veronica to shut up for a sec." I said and Gabby cleared his throat in discomfort, he obviously knew Veronica was torturing me with his boring conversation.

"Sultan come on, I'm only engaging you in a conversation so you don't get bored." Veronica said and I rubbed my face.

"Well you are making me bored."

"I get it." She rolled her eyes before sitting her juice on the table, then I chuckled and looked only for my eyes to land of Milani. I was stunned, shocked and mesmerized as I couldn't take my eyes off her. Pregnancy looked good on her, she was glowing, I finally got what Gabby was trying to tell me all these while.

Milani kinda had this effect on me and it was just crazy, thought I stopped seeing her, I literally couldn't stop myself from thinking about her. I thought about her every day, as I asked myself why I couldn't get her off my mind.
The fact that she didn't call me after we bumped into each other months ago at the hospital, also gave me the conclusion that the guy she was with, was her boyfriend.
