The warm sunlight streaming through the window glass gently coaxed me awake, and I greeted the new day with a smile. "Good morning," I whispered to myself, sitting up with a yawn and stretching my arms. As I swung my legs over the side of the bed, I thought about the day ahead and the tasks that awaited me and my colleagues. It was going to be a long day, but I was ready for whatever adventures lay ahead.

I reached for my phone on the nightstand and noticed missed calls from mom. I quickly returned her call, and after a brief conversation, I headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. As I scanned the kitchen for ingredients provided by the hotel, a sudden image flashed in my mind - Sultan King West. And to my surprise, I found myself smiling, unsure why the memory of him brought a hint of joy to my morning.

I scolded myself, trying to shake off the lingering thoughts of Sultan King West. "Come on, Lani, what are you doing?" I touched my face, feeling a bit flushed, as the memory of him pulling me into him replayed in my mind like a broken record. I tried to distract myself by focusing on chopping onions, but my mind kept wandering back to him. "Argh, Lani, what is wrong with you?" I muttered to myself, frustration growing.

But Just as I was starting to get annoyed with myself, my phone rang, and I was relieved to see that it was Bella. I answered with a smile, happy for the distraction. "Hey, Bella, how are you?" I asked, trying to sound casual.

"I'm good, how are you?" She replied and I took a deep breath, excitement building up inside me.

"I'm doing great, uh, Bella, do you know Sultan King West? The guy who owns a lot of hotels?" I asked, trying to sound nonchalant. But There was a pause on the other end of the line, and I wondered if I had said something wrong.

"Uh yeah, yes, I hear a lot about him on TV news and the internet. What about him?"

"We are in his hotel here in Ghana, and I met him one on one last night, it was crazy, Bel. We even talked for a while, and I took pictures with him. Even though I was nervous, I tried my best to ask for a picture with him. I will send them to you right away. It was a pleasure meeting him. I still can't believe I saw him, and we even talked." I couldn't contain my excitement as I shared my encounter with Sultan King West.

"Wow, Milani, wow. I'm so happy for you. So, are you guys cool? I mean, is he your friend now?" I chuckled, downplaying the encounter.

"No, no, we just had a little talk, or should I say an interview because he kept asking silly questions. Then I asked if I could take a picture with him, that's all." I shrugged, trying to sound nonchalant.

"Oh, I see."

I knocked on Max's door, waiting patiently for him to answer. When he finally opened the door and saw me standing there, he flashed a charming smirk and said, "Hey, beautiful." I rolled my eyes and walked straight into his room, not bothering to hide my annoyance which made him chuckled.

"Why am I getting this attitude?" He asked and I shot back.

"Who were you busy fucking last night, Max?" I asked but His smile only grew wider.

"A good morning from you wouldn't be bad, Lani." I shook my head, exasperated by his evasive response. "Good morning ma," he said, still grinning.

"Max, who was it?" I asked again and he scratched the back of his head, with a sheepish look on his face.

"A Ghanaian girl, her room is opposite mine." He admitted and I threw up my hands in frustration.

"Oh, Max, you're too much! Jeez, who sleeps with a girl he met within twenty-four hours?"

"Me." His response was unapologetic and proud. I wished I could strangle him to death.

"We just got here, and you're already chasing girls? This is so not right. Stop being an asshole." I scolded and he shrugged, then I realized that he wasn't going to change, not for me or anyone else.
