It was another awesome night in New York City, and some of my high school friends were coming over to hang out. It had been ages since we'd all met up, so we decided to gather at one of my clubs in the hotel. Gabby and I were already there, waiting for the others to arrive. "My Mercedes has been giving me some issues, so I'm thinking of getting a new car tomorrow," I mentioned to him since he sometimes drove me around.

"Cool, what's the new ride gonna be?" he asked as I took a sip of my drink.

"Rolls-Royce."

"Super cool," he said. "So, what's the plan for picking it up?" Before I could respond, our friends appeared, greeting us with a cheerful "Hey guys!" as they made their way to the VIP floor. "What's up?" Gabby asked, and they all took their seats.

Timmy, one of our friends, gave me a once-over and said, "You look sharp," with a smile. I winked at him in response.

"That's why he keeps hooking up with all these women," Seth, another friend of ours, chimed in, and we all burst out laughing.

"I can see you guys are gunning for me," I said with a smile.

"Of course, yeah," Timmy said, and I chuckled.

"What's good, Gabby?" Timmy asked.

"I'm great, yourself?" Gabby replied.

"Just chilling man, where are the girls?" he asked, and I glanced at Gabby, who was in charge of arranging the ladies for our boys' night.

"Here we are!" the girls chimed in, sauntering towards us, their presence instantly lighting up the mood.

"Ooh, hot girls!" James, one of our friends, exclaimed, clearly appreciating the view.

"Hello Sultan," one of the girls purred, tracing her index finger down my jawline.

"Hello, hottie," I replied, and she settled onto my lap, her lips hovering tantalizingly close to mine. I squeezed her butt, eliciting a moan.

"I like that," she whispered seductively into my ear, and I smirked. As I glanced over her shoulder, I noticed one of the other girls flirting with Gabby, but he looked uncomfortable, clearly not interested. Gabby was the only one among us in a committed relationship.

Just as the girl on my lap whispered, "I want nothing but to rock your bed tonight," my phone rang, breaking the spell. I checked the screen and it was Mom.

"Mom," I answered.

"Sultan, Veronica !" Mom's nervous tone on the other end immediately put me on edge.

"Mom what's wrong with her?" I asked, sitting upright with concern.

"She just passed out," she replied, her words sending a jolt through me. I leapt to my feet, my heart racing.

"What?" I exclaimed.

"You need to come right away; we're on our way to the hospital," Mom instructed. But I was already moving, urgency propelling me forward.

"I'm on my way. Just calm down and tell the driver to be careful," I said before hanging up. I sprinted toward my car, ignoring my friends' calls as they tried to find out what was wrong. There was no time for explanations.
