"Please inform the director that I'd like him to address the minor issue in the hostel promptly. I expect a resolution within the next 24 hours," I instructed my secretary. She nodded and placed a stack of papers on my desk.
"These require your signature, sir." She said and I quickly reviewed the documents before signing them.
"On your way out, would you kindly ask Gabby to come in?"
"Of course, sir," she replied.

"Hey Mom," I said, giving her a peck on the cheek before snatching one of the carrots she was chopping."Going somewhere?" she asked, eyeing me curiously. I nodded, crunching on the carrot.
"You weren't home last night."
I shrugged, trying to play it cool."Yeah, I wasn't."
"Since when do you sleep over at their place?" She looked at me like I'd lost my mind, and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"She's different," I said, but before Mom could respond, Veronica walked in, her arms crossed and a scowl on her face.
"Where did you spend the night?" Veronica demanded, her voice laced with accusation.
"On the street."
"I'm not joking, Sultan." Her frown deepened and I raised an eyebrow, skeptical.
"And who said I was?"
Veronica's expression turned dramatic, her voice trembling as she spoke. "You left me in this condition and went off to enjoy yourself with some... some woman? Jesus Christ, you bring different women home every night, and I never complain, even though it hurts to see someone else in your bed. But you went too far this time. You spent the night at another woman's home?"
I shook my head, incredulous at Veronica's over-the-top performance. She should have been an actress, not a model. Her crocodile tears didn't fool me for a second.
"Veronica, go to your room now. I'll call you when dinner's ready," Mom instructed firmly and Veronica walked out, tears streaming down her face. "That was a little harsh." Mom said and I shrugged, Veronica was doing to much.

The drive to Milani's house was brief. I stepped out of the car and approached the door. Without hesitation, I rang the doorbell, and shortly after, the door swung open. Standing before me was another stunning version of Milani. She was clearly taken aback by my presence, but her beauty was undeniable."Hello, Aunt," I said with a charming smirk and she smiled warmly.
"Hi, honey. Please, don't call me Aunt. I'm still young." She nicely said and I apologized with a grin.
"My bad."
"It's fine," she reassured me. "Just call me Jade, okay?"
"Alright, I'm Sultan."
"Of course, I know who you are," Jade said with a bright smile. "Who doesn't?" I smiled back, feeling a bit self-conscious. "But I'm surprised to see you on my doorstep, especially at this late hour," she continued. "What brings you here?" I grinned, scratching the back of my head, hesitant to reveal my true intentions.
"I'm here to see Milani." I said Jade's eyes widened in surprise.
"Do you two know each other?" I nodded.
"Yeah, we've known each other for a while now."
"Interesting. And what's your relationship with my daughter, if I may ask?" Jade's curiosity piqued.
I hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "We're... friends." I scratched the back of my head again, feeling a bit awkward.
"I'm so sorry, please forgive my manners," Jade said, stepping aside. "Come on in." I entered, shutting the door softly behind me.
"Why don't you come back tomorrow?" Jade suggested. "It's late, and Milani's fast asleep."
I shook my head, my tone urgent. "No Jade, I have to see her tonight. I promised to meet her earlier today, but I got held up. Please, let me see her."
Jade's expression softened, and she nodded. "Alright, that's fine."
I breathed a sigh of relief. "Thanks."
