I was cozied up in the living room, indulging in a bowl of ice cream and watching an episode of Henry Danger on Nickelodeon. But The peaceful afternoon was abruptly disrupted when Bella stormed through the front door, her furious expression a clear indication that she was not happy about something. "Shit," I muttered under my breath, setting my ice cream aside. It was obvious that her anger stemmed from not being informed about my return.

"So it's true you're back," her tone laced with accusation.

"Who told you?" I asked, trying to deflect the attention.

"Sultan did," she replied, her voice rising. "Why didn't you tell me?" Her question was tinged with offense, and I could sense the underlying tension. I let out a deep breath and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear, preparing for the confrontation.

"Because I didn't want to listen to whatever drama would make me hate you Bella. I didn't want to know," I admitted, my words hanging in the air.

"Please, you have to listen," Bella said softly, her eyes pleading with me. And I shook my head, resistant to whatever she was about to say.

"I don't want to," I insisted, but Bella took another step closer, her determination unwavering.

"Don't be stubborn Lani. Just hear me out," she urged.

I felt my frustration rising, and my voice escalated to a semi-yell. "Bella, no! Don't you get it?" But before I could continue, she dropped a bombshell that left me reeling.

"Don't you want to know who the father of your child is?" My heart sank, and my mind went blank.

"I'm sorry, what?" I stuttered, my eyes wide with shock.

Bella's expression turned sympathetic as she sighed and revealed, "Dream has a father." I felt my anger and disbelief boiling over, and I spat out the words, each one shaking with emotion.

"Bella, no, no! Don't make fun of my daughter. What's wrong with you?" I wagged my finger at her, my voice trembling with rage. Bella's face contorted in distress, and she reached out, imploring me.

"I'm not making fun of Dream, Lani. Just listen to me, please!"

"Bella stop!" I exclaimed, my body shaking uncontrollably as if electrified by her words.

"Sultan West," she said, her voice cracking as tears streamed down her face.

"W-what about him?" I stuttered, my eyes locked on hers in confusion.

"Is Dream's daddy," she sobbed, her body wracked with emotion. And I froze, my mind reeling in shock, before I lunged forward to grip her arms.

"Bella, this isn't funny! Are you crazy?" I demanded, tears spilling down my own face as I struggled to comprehend the absurdity of her claim.

"I'm not joking, Lani. Sultan is really the father of your child," she repeated, her words like a sledgehammer to my sanity. Without realizing it, I dug my fingers deeper into her arms, and she cried out in pain. "Lani... ah, Lani, you're hurting me!" But I was too numb to register her distress, my world turned upside down by the impossible truth she claimed to possess.

"Bella, shut up! Shut the fuck up," I whispered, tears streaming down my face.

"It really hurts," she cried, but I was beyond consolation.

"Why are you lying?" I asked, my voice shaking.

"I'm not lying, Lani. I'm telling the truth," she protested. And I felt like I'd been punched in the gut.

"Oh my God," I breathed, releasing her arms as sobs racked my body. "Get out," I managed to choke out.

"Milani, please," she called after me.

"Out. Now," I repeated, my voice firm.

"Before I leave your house, I need to tell you everything. Please don't stop me," her eyes locked on mine. And I stared blankly, unsure what to do next.
"Dr. Jones gave you a wrong injection unknowingly. Months ago, Veronica and Sultan were trying to conceive, but they struggled. Insemination was their last hope. However, Veronica's father didn't approve since she was engaged to Enrique, a mafia boss. Mr. Rogers coerced me into swapping Sultan's sperm with another liquid. I was terrified for my life, so I complied. On the day of Veronica's insemination, I used your antifungal solution to inject her. And when it was your turn, Sultan's sperm was injected into you... I'm deeply sorry, Milani."

My world froze as I stared at Bella, my mind reeling in horror. Betrayal seared through me like a branding iron, the pain so intense I felt suffocated. The memories of our laughter, our secrets, our bond – all lies. "B-Bella... how could you?" I whispered, my voice cracking as the weight of her deception crushed me. The day of the injection replayed in my mind like a nightmare, each detail sharper than the last.

Bella's eyes pleaded for understanding, but I couldn't bear to look at her. "I was helpless," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "My life was threatened. I had no choice."

"Don't come closer!" I yelled, my voice echoing through the room. And Bella halted, her eyes wide with fear. I collapsed to my knees, my gaze drifting into emptiness as shock and disappointment washed over me. I'd never felt so blindsided in my life.

"Milani, please forgive me," Bella begged, her voice trembling.

"Get out," I said, my tone flat and final.

"Please—"

"Get out." The words hung in the air, a cold dismissal that seemed to shatter the remnants of our relationship.
