"Let's pretend I know nothing" I said

"Well, where do I start?" she shyly smiled

"From the very beginning, maybe the moment you met him"

"Oh well that was about a year ago, we are not related but our families are so close to each other thus I met him in one of the reunions and he never left ever since. Besides I sometimes work with them from time to time and that what made us get a bit closer as friends. Just friends."

"However tables turned right?" I sighed

"They did, I mean Hoseok is just caring and understanding which caught all of my attention at first. He is so kind and maybe that's the reason I confessed my love to him even though I know it's one-sided. Hoseok is actually one of the brightest characters I have ever met but he seems broken from time to time it's like drowning in grief and sadness just by looking at his eyes"

"He told me that he can't love me not because of me but the idea of love itself, but he likes me as his friend that was what he said. And when I told him about the chance thing he didn't fully accept it" she continued with a sigh then took another bite of her sandwich

"It isn't my story to tell, however if you really love him or even just care about him I want you to give him a while because you are actually the one giving chances, and the chance you asked for, it doesn't really mean what you think you were unconsciously asking him to give himself a chance."

"I understand that" she paused "I guess"

"Why did you want to meet me?"

"Lots of reasons, first of all I wanted to meet the mysterious Ms. Rena that Hoseok always talked about, second of all I wanted to be friends with you since you really seemed as a nice person from the stories he always told me. I swear I didn't bring you here to make you tell me any stories about him, I respect your secrets"

"You are really understanding and I want to thank you for that." I said

"But I also want to thank you for staying next to him the past year. I really want you to give him a chance he just needs to come to his senses"

"I will. Enough about him, tell me about you, oh and you know that we somehow live next to each other"

"We do?"

"Yes, I am about 7 blocks apart from yours"

"That's good to hear" I faintly smiled

"So tell me about you" she asked with a smile

"I have nothing going on much but I signed my contract with their company today"

"You did? That's really amazing I can get to see you often then. We can grab lunch sometime too"

"Yeah sure why not" I smiled

"It's getting colder we can leave if you want I know you don't like to go out too much"

"Emm, please it was a long day"

"Okay then let me just call a cab"

"No need to, Hoseok is here, he can take us both"

"Are you sure Rena?"

"Of course follow me he parked not too far from here"

She was actually a nice person, calm and kind. Besides she seems to really love Hoseok and appreciate him. I already decided that I am going to trust her the moment I met her.
