Kids

I was laying down on Kusuo's bed. He was watching tv, and his parents were out on an anniversary weekend getaway. "When are your parents supposed to get back?" I asked Kusuo playing a game on my phone.

"Monday. Probably." He responded.

"Hmm, I see.." I said and lay my head on his pillow, putting my phone down, looking at him.

"What?" He asked.

"Just wondering." I said stretching, my shirt coming up a bit, revealing my stomach.

"Wondering what?" He asked glancing at me and used his telekinesis to fix my shirt.

"If we had kids." I said and he visibly froze.

"What?" He asked and I just smiled and shrugged.

"Nothing~" I laughed a bit and yawned and hugged his blanket closer to my body. "I'm gonna take a nap." I said and he said nothing.

I felt a hand in my hair. I opened my eyes tiredly and saw it was Kusuo. He was reading a book while playing with my hair. I glanced at the book and it was about childcare and I couldn't help but laugh. "Why are you reading that?" I asked moving and resting my head on his shoulder looking at the page he was reading.

"I'm getting prepared." He said simply and I smiled and kissed his cheek.

"Dummy." I whispered into his ear, making him uncomfortable and I hugged him. "That's a long way from now. You don't have to read it now." I said and he closed the book and levitated it back to the bookshelf.

"Do you want kids?" Kusuo asked me.

"Yeah sure. It wouldn't be awful, but if I don't that's not too bad either." I said running my fingers through his hair.

"I see." He said and I smiled.

"I wonder what they'd look like.." I heard Kusuo's voice in my head.

"I hope they have your hair." I said and smiled as he looked at me. "And, maybe your eyes, but not the medusa thing." I laughed a bit and put my chin on his shoulder and reached down and held his hand in mine. 

"I think having your eyes would be better." he said softly looking at our hands.

"Hmm, what color would pink and yellow make?" I asked laughing and he turned to look me in the eye and I simply stared at him and he stared back at me. 

"An orange haired kid?" he said.

I couldn't help but laugh. "I can't wait." I said and wrapped my arms around him in a hug.

"Would you want kids?" I asked.

"... I don't know." he said softly and I nodded.

"If you don't want, I'll be okay with that." I said playing with his hair.

"By the way, Saiko invited us to some yacht thing." he said.

"Really?" I asked. He then nodded, "Are you going?" I asked, and he nodded again.

We just sat in silence for a while, it wasn't awkward, since he was reading some fantasy book, and I could hear him reading in his head, so it felt like he was reading me a story. "Read that part again." I said as he was about to go to another line.

"You liked that line?" he asked and I nodded closing my eyes. 

"(favorite line from book)" He said softly and I eventually drifted to sleep on his shoulder..
