"How are we related at all?"
"Forgot the guy you suppose to marry?"
Nanlaki ang mata ko. It's him?! Tinignan ko siya mula ulo hanggang paa. Nanatili naman ang ngisi sa kanyang labi.
"So you.... are Little Jackie?" tanong ko sabay turo sa kanya. At first, he just stared at me but started laughing again.
"'Little Jackie' hahaha!" humagalpak ito sa tawa habang ako naman ay seryoso lang siyang tinitignan.
"I heard your name was Jack something,"
"'Jack something' Oh lord," patuloy parin siya sa pagtawa.
Ilang sandali pa ay natapos narin siya sa kanyang pagtawa. Kumuha siya sa kung saan ng isang sigarilyo at sinindihan ito.
"I couldn't care less about you running away on our wedding. But what you did before that really caught my attention." sambit niya na siyang ikina kuryuso ko. It took me a couple of seconds before I finally get what he was talking about. I remember what I did. Right, I wrote "Fuck you" on the mirror.
"Oh, that. I knew you would like it," sarkastiko akong ngumiti.
"Yeah, I did like it. It made me want to meet you... And show you what horrible things I can do," sambit niya ngunit ngayon ay seryoso na ang mukha.
His gaze was too.... dangerous. I looked away.
"Mr. Lee told me I was getting married to his business partner's son. I doubt that's true."
"Your stepdad owed our Gang a lot. It's always fun to hurt people that's why I told him to hand his son over to my Gang. But, guess what?... He begged me to take his daughter instead of his son."
I sighed after hearing the word 'daughter'. Clearly, I hated being called his daughter. The reason is pretty visible.
"To keep my position as the Boss, I'll need a woman and it wasn't a bad idea to have a puppy who listens to me.... So, we agreed on a marriage."
And yet again, another guy was thinking of having me to keep his position. Ginawa kong pangmalungkot ang mukha ko at ngumuso. "Sad you couldn't have your puppy." malungkot ngunit sarkastiko kong sambit.
"I answered your question, now answer mine."
"Go on,"
"I was told that Samantha Lee is an innocent and clueless girl... Why is it, you're a dangerous one?" tanong nito.
"Maybe I was an innocent and clueless girl before but a couple of months can do a lot to a person," tumango ito.
"You joined the bulletproof gang?"
"I don't think I have to answer every single question." tipid kong sabi.
I casually turned around and was gonna leave the room. Mabuti at kahit papaano ay hindi niya alam na Agent ako. Which means there's no danger. Saktong pagkatalikod ko ay nakita ko ang lalaking, mula palang noon ay inaalagaan ko na at talagang minahal ko. Alexander...
