Flowers? No.
Chocolates? Too cliché.
Stuffed bears? No.
It needs to be different from all the other years.
I kept thinking as I wandered through the mall, but I halted my steps when something caught my eyes inside a jewellery shop.
Promise bracelets.
Perfect.
I got the white bracelet carved with my initials - FL - and the black one with Lilliana's initials carved into it - LH.
Along with the bracelets I also bought a card.
Before I went home, I went to the members' dorm to write my card.
I knocked on the door of their dorm, waiting for one of them to open up.
"Felix? What're you doin' here?" Seungmin asked as he opened the door for me. I awkwardly scratch the back of my head and said, "I need to write Lilli a card before I go home. So, I decided to come and visit you guys."
"Ohhh, I see," Seungmin said with a smirk.
"Do you guys have any snacks? I'm hungry, feed me," I said. Seugmin simply just rolled his eyes and went to the cupboard, grabbing a packet of chips and plopping it on the table in front of me.
"I knew you'd say that when you come to visit the dorm. That's why we always store some snacks in case you come."
"Thanks, bro," I said and got to work.
I didn't know what to write, but after a while I finally got it.

"Welcome home, honey!" She said with loads of excitement in her tone, more than usual. "Woah, calm down. Did something exciting happen?" I asked her. "You'll see," she said and booped my nose.
I dumped my bag to the side and took out the small box from my pocket containing the white bracelet. I gave it to her and she opened it, revealing the white bracelet with my initials on it.
"What's this?" She asked as she put the bracelet around her wrist. "It's a promise bracelet. To seal your wish. Look, I have the other one, it has your initials on it."
"What wish?"
"You wished that we could stay together forever and not leave each other."
"Oh my goodness, you still remember that?"
"Of course."
She admired the bracelet for a while, then she was brought back to reality with realisation. "Oh, I have a gift for you too and it's a lot better than yours too," she said and wrapped a scarf around my head, covering my eyes.
"What's going on?" I said out of panic. "Just trust me," she whispered softly and dragged me by the wrist. To where? I don't know.
"Sit here and wait," she sat me down on the couch. Judging from the couch, I was probably in the living room.
I heard a clank on the coffee table as she had put something on the table. It sounded huge.
"Okay, have a look," she said and untied the scarf.
I was shocked.
It was a box full of baby stuff. Such as toys, dummies and milk bottles.
"wh- what is this?" I turned to look at her, "Am I going to be a dad?"
She couldn't contain her smile as happy tears fell from her sparkling eyes. I was shocked. No, scrap that, I was astounded. I couldn't believe it.
She sat down next to me on the couch and I couldn't help but hug her tightly, my head on her shoulder. The tears that I tried to hold in soon rolled down my cheek.
I felt so happy at that moment.
Everything seemed so perfect.
And nothing can change that.
