So, at lunchtimes, there usually aren't that many people in the main block, more specifically the stairs.

I had to go to the arts staff room to find my band teacher so I can get my practice chart. The staff room is on the third floor so obviously, I need to walk up the stairs. I made my way to the stairs and I saw someone sitting there on the steps, I think it's Lilliana. I ran up to her and she was holding on to her ankle, from what I can tell, she might be in a lot of pain. Maybe, she sprained her ankle.

"Are you okay?" I asked her, definitely not out of consideration and worry.
"Felix! Can you help me up and take me to the sickbay, please?" she groaned
"What happened?"
"Nothing, it's not important," She said

So, I picked her up and put her arm over my shoulder, but she was too short.
"You're too short."
"Well, I can see that stupid."
"Now what?" She thought for a moment before continuing, "there is something you can do, you can piggyback me," She blushed, "But I don't think that's appropriate. You know what? I'll just limp there."

She proceeded to stand up but I stopped her and crouched down with my back facing her.
"Get on."
"But-"
"There is no way you can make it to the sickbay with a foot like that."

She hoped my back and I stood up and whizzed to the sickbay.

Yes, I have thought of the consequences and outcomes. I know we'll be catching attention and there'll be lots of people watching as well as a lot of phones, there might also be rumours that'll be going around school about the two of us dating or something like that. But I'm only trying to help her, I'm innocent. Everyone can go believe what they want but the truth is there is nothing like that happening between us.

We made it to the sick bay and the nurse gave her an ice pack as I let her down on to the bed. She sat against the wall with her other leg hanging off the bed as she pressed the ice back down on her ankle.

"Now, Lilliana, can you tell me how the flip you hurt your ankle?"
"Why do you need to know?"
"Why can't I?"
"What if I don't want to tell you? You can't make me."
"You just don't want to tell me because you did something stupid, didn't you?"
"No! I just misplaced my foot when I was coming down the stairs."
"That's stupid."

She looked quite angry, so I left before she cracked my head open with a chair or something. "Bye," I said and ran out of sickbay. She's scary when she's angry.

I opened the door and was hit with a big crowd of people, it was like those scenes I've seen on the TV, I was the celebrity and all the journalists are getting just a bit too close and sticking mics in my face, but in this case, it is phones, not mics.

There was this girl that squeezed through the crowd to get to me just to ask me one thing, "What is your relationship with Lilliana?" She said it with the stereotypical voice of a journalist.
"We're just friends."
"Are you sure?" Not really...it seems and feels a little different than a simple friendship. I didn't answer the girl, there's no need to.

I still have to collect my practice chart from the music teacher.

Did Lilliana borrow crutches from the sickbay? What if she didn't? That'd just be annoying, I'll have to carry her home somehow.

She's such a burden.

As soon as the bell went I walked to sickbay to see Lilliana. She was still on the bed with the ice pack.
"Oh my god, Felix!" She almost-screamed in my face as she tugged my arm down towards her chest and hugged it. I pulled away, "Don't do that."
"Sorry. I was just almost bored to death, you know? I was here for two hours with nothing to do."
"Put that aside for now, how are you going to get home?"
"Good point, I can't even walk to the bus stop."
"Did they not have any crutches?"
"Does it look like they have any? If they did, they would've given them to me to get to class."

I rolled my eyes and frowned.
"Does that mean I have to help you get home?"
"Yup."
"Can we just get you to the clinic or something and get you some crutches?"
"I don't have my Medicare card everywhere I go, idiot."
"Fine, put on your shoes. You better have some crutches tomorrow, I'm not carrying you to every class."

I sat on the bed to let her get on my back and stood back up.
"Where's your locker?"
"Have you forgotten already?"
"I didn't think it's information that I needed to store in my brain."
"It's the one at the end."

I walked to the end of the year eight locker area, I let her down to get her bag.  I crouched down to let back on and gave my bag to her, "hold that."

She hoped on with her bag and my bag, it felt like carrying the Eiffel tower.

My back was about to snap by the time I got home. I fell to the ice cold tiled floor, my back is covered in sweat.

I swear that is the first and last time I'll do something like that.

"Fely, are you okay darling?"
"No." Mum walked towards my sweat covered self and crouched down.
"Gee, you've been working out quite a bit. Go take a shower."

I slid across the floor to my room and got my pyjamas before stumbling into the shower and turning on the ice cold shower. I don't care if it's cold, my body is too hot to even care, besides the cold water can cool me down.

Lilliana is such a burden sometimes.

A/N

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, 'My Pace' was sooooooooo good.

Also, this chapter is slightly shorter than the others, sorry~. But hey, it's not like there's a lot of people that read and enjoy my book.

I didn't edit this chapter because my unbothered self can't be bothered to, so forgive me if some sentences are wordy or grammatically wrong.
