Kya P.O.V.

I was in my bedroom stuffing my face with ice cream while I watched the movie The Notebook. Eating ice cream and watching a movie usually made me feel better but today it wasn't erasing the depression I was feeling. Watching Allie and Noah profound their love for each other was only making things worst.

I called Kevin like a thousand times and left him a whole bunch of voicemails but he still wouldn't pick up or call me back. I have been crying all day for this dude. The least he could do was pick up his damn phone. He better not be with Miranda.

I heard my mom coming up the stairs. That last thing I needed her to do was say, "I told you so!"

She knocked on my door and asked if she could come in. LIKE I HAVE A CHOICE TO LET YOU IN OR NOT!

"Yeah you can come in mom."

She entered my room with a look of remorse on her face. "Baby are you ok?" She sat on the side of my bed.

"Yeah I'm fine mom."

"You don't look fine to me. You've been crying all day and I want to know why." She said softly.

"It doesn't matter." I know my mom would be pissed if she found out Kevin was the reason why I was laid in my bed depressed.

"Did that boy Kevin do something to you?"

I didn't respond because I didn't want to tell her about my boyfriend drama, well ex boyfriend drama.

Next thing I knew I was sobbing on my mother's chest while she wrapped her arms around me and rocked me back and forth like I was a little girl.

Just thinking about Kevin kissing on a another girl made tears come out of my eyes.

"I told you that boy was no good but you didn't want to listen. Now look at you."

"This is exactly why I didn't want to tell you." I said in between sobs.

"I'm sorry baby but don't say I didn't warn you."

Andrew and Michael walked into my room. "Mom were hungry, can you go make breakfast?" Andrew asked.

"Yeah I'll be in the kitchen in a minute."

"What's wrong with Kya?" Michael asked.

"She's just a little sick today. Go in the kitchen, she wants some privacy."

They nodded and walked out of my room.

"Please tell what's bothering you. I promise not to say any of my opinions till you are done telling your whole story."

I had to laugh. My mom was the queen of opinions. She loved to express how she felt even though the conversation had nothing to do with her.

"What is so funny?"

"Nothing, do you want me to tell you the story or not?"

"Ok, now tell me." She said as if I was going to tell her the latest gossip.

"This guy in my class told me that Kevin was cheating on me."

My mom's face turned red. "HE'S CHEATING ON YOU?!?" She screamed.

"Will you please let me finish before you start yelling?!?"

She took a deep breath. I'm guessing that's her way of calming down. "I asked him how he knew that and he told me that they were having a party over Kevin's house on Saturday and he saw Kevin kissing and flirting with some girl named Miranda. I kept calling him on Saturday and he kept telling me he was busy so that explains why he was not picking up his phone. To make sure I had all my facts straight I asked Kyle if there really was a party over Kevin's house since he's on the basketball team too and he said yes."
