BACKGROUND INFO laura was born and raised in colorado, with an irish-born australian father who's an engineer and a dominican mother who's a former nurse, both roman catholic. she's the second daughter as well as the second youngest among five siblings. after the deaths of their eldest sister in 1999 and of their mother in 2001, laura became the only girl in the family. she's often the victim of her brothers' shenanigans, much to her annoyance, but is nonetheless used to it.
as of 2011, she moved to california to attend stanford university, where she met juan pablo de la iglesia. after a year of being friends, the two started dating. laura graduated with a degree in anthropology and moved in an apartment in san jose with juan pablo, then marrying him in 2017. they bore three sons and two daughters, namely samuel, angelito, chiquitita, cristina, and raphael.
