— Nikolai started off as being innocent and rather naive. Though he had always been a little self-absorbed, he was nevertheless outgoing and incredibly amiable towards many people, regardless of social status or looks. Most people who knew him claimed that he was "the most charming young man" they had ever met, and described him to be exceedingly kind and generous. However, he was easily impressionable, seeing as he turned into a much different person after being influenced by Count Bobrinsky. Since then, he subjected to a hedonistic lifestyle and became self-indulgent & sinful. He murdered people in cold blood and started to prioritize himself over anyone - albeit he still possessed a bit of empathy, especially towards the people he cared about. In the end, he regretted everything he'd done and tried to redeem himself by restoring the goodness he used to display so often.
