BACKGROUND INFO giancarlo was born and raised in sicily. he's the only child of mafia boss gianmarco de luca and former opera singer carlotta de luca (née cociarelli), both of whom he was close with and very much spoiled by. having always been pampered, his cousins sometimes envied him. just like the rest of the family, he was taught and trained to commit certain crimes such as murder, blackmail, theft, etc.
starting from the age of eight, giancarlo liked several girls. often, he managed to swoon them over with his charm, with the few ones who rejected him ending up in unfortunate circumstances.
his parents, along with his uncles and their wives, were all killed in an attack by a rival mafia in 2033, when giancarlo was only about 11-12 years old. thus, he was left devastated over the death of his beloved mom & dad, with only his only blood aunt to take care of him and his cousins. nonetheless, he managed to carry on the legacy of committing misdeeds, as an intention to impress the spirit of his father.
in 2038, one of the girls he went insane for was catalina rios, and was very incensed when she began dating his cousin lovino a year later. he then met alisia, and had fallen so deep for her to the point that only she mattered and he lost interest in other girls. for three years he followed her around, murdering every man he thought might "get in the way of his love with alisia".
alisia finally confronted him in paris, and though she spoke to him tenderly, he was terribly enraged by the fact that she had just rejected him, and killed her right on the spot by shooting her straight in the heart with a gun. upon realizing what he had just done, he wept and screamed her name out of devastation, and committed suicide by putting the gun in his mouth and finally pulling the trigger.
