**Episode 14**

Hana straightened her posture, her hands slightly trembling as she replied, "Ne, Daepu-nim."

Taehyung gestured for her to sit, and she complied, her gaze fixed on him. He looked impassive, his focus on the laptop before him. "So, Miss Ahn," he began, his tone businesslike, "I'd like you to study all the files and gather information about the company. I need to be informed about every detail and all developments. Also, keep me updated about my meetings. Understand?"

"Ne, Daepu-nim," Hana responded succinctly. Though she acknowledged his instructions, she couldn't ignore the sense of disappointment that lingered. Taehyung was no longer the person she remembered. The warmth and familiarity of the past had been replaced by a cold, distant demeanor. It pained her, especially given the past between them, and she recalled the hurt she had caused him.

Over the next few days, Hana threw herself into her work. Taehyung was indeed a workaholic, and his relentless pace left little room for personal interaction. The man who had once been her close friend and confidant now seemed like a stranger. The transformation was jarring, but she reminded herself that he was now her boss.

One day, Hana approached Taehyung's desk, her heart pounding. "Daepu-nim?" she called softly.

"Hm?" Taehyung barely looked up from his laptop, his fingers dancing across the keys.

"I have something important to discuss. Could you spare me a moment?" Hana requested, her voice tinged with nervousness.

Taehyung's gaze finally shifted to her, his expression unreadable. "Miss Ahn, I'm quite busy right now," he replied coolly.

"Please, Daepu-nim," Hana persisted.

He sighed, his eyes locking with hers as if considering whether to grant her request. "Alright, speak."

Taking a deep breath, Hana began, "I want to apologize. I've been reflecting on our past and..."

Before she could finish, Taehyung's face hardened. He stood abruptly, his movements sharp and decisive. Without warning, he pushed Hana against the wall, the force causing her discomfort. He gripped her arms with a force that made her wince.

"T-Taehyung, you're hurting me," she pleaded, trying to free herself.

"Sorry? Just 'sorry,' Hana? Do you even understand what you did to me? The emotional turmoil you caused? I don't think you do," Taehyung said, his voice laced with bitterness.

Hana fell silent, unable to respond. The intensity of Taehyung's anger was overwhelming.

"You know, Hana, I should thank you. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have become the person I am today. And just so you know, I'm not the same Taehyung you used to know. I despise you," he continued, his words stinging.

"I-I don't hate you, Taehyung," Hana said, her voice trembling.

"Oh? So Ahn Hana doesn't hate Kim Taehyung? Then tell me, if you don't hate me, do you love me?" Taehyung asked, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

"I don't love you either," Hana replied, trying to maintain her composure.

"Good, because I don't care," Taehyung retorted coldly.

"Taehyung, you're hurting me. Please stop," Hana begged, her eyes filling with tears.

"Well, if you're hurt, then you should know that it's an incredible feeling, isn't it? Just as you've caused pain to others in the past," Taehyung said, his voice devoid of empathy.

"Ahhhhh, Taehyung, please!" Hana screamed in desperation.

Taehyung moved closer, his face inches from hers. The intensity of his gaze was almost suffocating. "From now on, Miss Ahn, I will make sure you experience pain like never before. Be prepared," he said menacingly.

Hana felt paralyzed with fear as he pushed her roughly to the floor, leaving her alone in his office. The encounter had left her emotionally and physically drained.

**At Home**

Returning home, Hana was a shadow of her usual self. Her mother noticed her downcast demeanor and inquired about it.

"I'm just feeling unwell, Eomma. I'll go to my room," Hana said, her voice flat.

Once in her room, Hana lay on her bed, staring at the stars through her window. The pain from her encounter with Taehyung weighed heavily on her. "Jungkook, you never spoke to me like this. Taehyung said I don't understand pain. I'm so tired, Jungkook. I'm so tired," she murmured, clutching her knees.

As she drifted into sleep, she found herself in a dreamlike state, lying on the grass beside Jungkook. His presence was soothing, and she felt a rare moment of peace. Jungkook's voice was soft and comforting as he whispered, "Hana-ya, why did you say you're tired?"

Hana turned to face him, tears welling in her eyes. "I didn't mean it," she lied.

"Liar. You did say it. Don't you remember?" Jungkook's voice was tender but firm.

"Ne, Jungkook. I hate this life. I feel empty every day. Why did you leave me? You broke your promise," Hana cried, her voice choked with emotion.

"I'm sorry, Hana-ya," Jungkook said, tears streaming down his face.

"I miss you every moment. I just want to be with you," Hana sobbed.

Jungkook gently turned her to face him. The sadness in his eyes was palpable. "You promised me you wouldn't give up. You need to be strong. I know someone loves you very much," he said, a hint of a smile on his lips.

"You?" Hana asked, her voice barely a whisper.

"No," Jungkook replied softly.

"Then who?" Hana questioned.

Jungkook's smile was both reassuring and sorrowful. "Take care," he said, his voice fading. As he disappeared, Hana reached out, but he was gone. Her cries echoed in the empty space.

"Jungkook, please don't leave me. I need you," she pleaded.

**Morning**

Hana awoke to her brother Yeonjun's concerned voice. "Noona, wake up. Why are you crying? Your face is all wet."

"Why?" Hana asked groggily.

"Were you having a bad dream?" Yeonjun asked, his concern evident.

"No, it was beautiful," Hana replied, trying to muster a smile.

"Really?" Yeonjun asked, still skeptical.

"Ne," Hana said, her smile growing more genuine.

"Alright, but you're going to be late. Eomma's calling. Breakfast is ready," Yeonjun informed her.

"Ne, I'll be right down," Hana responded.

As she prepared for the day, Hana clung to the comforting words from her dream. Jungkook's reminder to stay strong resonated deeply with her. She promised herself that no matter what Taehyung threw her way, she would remain resilient.
