Days turned into a blur for Taehyung as he became increasingly consumed by work, but anxiety about Hana gnawed at him relentlessly. He hadn't seen her much, and the uncertainty was unbearable. One evening, after a particularly grueling day, he sought refuge in the familiar surroundings of his friend Bo Gum's bar. There, he drank more than usual, hoping to drown his worries in the oblivion of alcohol.
"Taehyung, you shouldn't drink like this. It's getting late. You should go home," Bo Gum advised, concern evident in his voice.
"No, I won't go," Taehyung protested stubbornly.
"Don't be so obstinate, Kim Taehyung. Come with me. Give me your car keys. I'll have one of my staff bring my car. Let's get you home," Bo Gum insisted, his tone firm but gentle.
Taehyung remained silent but nodded in acquiescence. Bo Gum escorted him to his car and drove him home, ensuring he was safely inside before leaving.
When Taehyung stumbled into the house, the silence was palpable. Hana was in the living room, watching TV. She sensed his presence and turned, her eyes widening with concern.
"Taehyung, why are you so late? I was anxious—wait, are you drunk?" she asked, her voice tinged with worry.
He smirked and moved closer, his steps unsteady. Hana's confusion grew as he suddenly shoved her onto the bed with surprising force.
"What are you doing?" she shouted, fear lacing her voice.
"I just want you, Hana. I've been waiting for you for years," he whispered, his breath reeking of alcohol.
"Tae—" she began, but he silenced her with a rough, forceful kiss. She pushed against him, tears streaming down her face.
"Please, Tae, stop," she pleaded, her voice breaking.
He ignored her cries, his actions growing more desperate. "I can do this. I'm your husband, Hana," he whispered, his words slurred.
With all her strength, Hana pushed him away and scrambled to her feet, her face flushed with anger and tears. "Kim Taehyung, what the hell was that?" she screamed.
Taehyung staggered to his feet and advanced on her again, pushing her with one hand. "What did I do? Huh?"
First push.
"Did I hurt you?"
Second push.
"Oh, I forgot, Madam Hana doesn't know the meaning of pain."
Hana's eyes blazed with fury, and she slapped him hard across the face. She began pushing him back, her voice trembling with anger and sorrow.
"You didn't do anything, Kim Taehyung?" she cried, her voice rising with each push.
First push.
"Every time you hurt me, I stayed silent, bearing it all."
Second push.
"Do you even consider me human? Do you think I don't know what pain is?"
Third push.
"Do you want to know what I went through when you left that night?"
She stopped, her words hanging in the air. Taehyung froze, his anger replaced by shock.
"What happened?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper.
She sighed, her eyes red and swollen. "Fine, I'll tell you. I was raped that night, Taehyung. And you remember Jeon Jungkook? He's dead. He was killed that night."
Hana collapsed to the floor, sobbing uncontrollably. "He promised me he wouldn't leave, but he did."
Taehyung's world shattered. He dropped to his knees, his face blank with horror. "What... what did you say?"
