**Episode 15**

Hana found herself running late that day, her anxiety mounting as she hurried towards Taehyung's office. She burst through the door, breathless, only to be met with Taehyung's stern gaze.
"You're late, Miss Ahn," he said, his tone clipped and unforgiving.
"Mianhe, Daepu-nim," Hana replied, struggling to catch her breath.
"I dislike tardiness," he mumbled, his frustration evident.
"It won't happen again. I'm sorry," Hana assured him with a firm voice.
"Anyway, be prepared. We're attending a business party tonight," he announced.
"A party? Tonight?" Hana asked, surprised.
"You heard me correctly," Taehyung said coldly.
"Ne, Daepu-nim," Hana acknowledged.
"Make sure you look presentable. I don't like the way you're dressed; it's far too plain for a party. Go change," he ordered.
"But it's still morning, and you mentioned the party is tonight," Hana protested.
"Ah, right. I forgot. Just go do your work for now. I'm busy," he said, suddenly looking flustered, as though he realized he'd made a mistake.
"Ne, Daepu-nim," Hana bowed and left.
She quickly made her way to Soomin's office. Soomin had become a good friend, and Hana felt she could rely on her for advice.
"Soomin-ah, could you help me with something?" Hana asked.
"Of course," Soomin replied.
"Daepu-nim mentioned the party tonight, and I'm unsure about what to wear. Could you assist me? You're my only female friend here," Hana explained.
"Absolutely, Hana. I'd be happy to help," Soomin said, her enthusiasm evident.
Soomin guided Hana through her wardrobe choices, and after some deliberation, Hana emerged looking stunning.
"Wahh, you look beautiful, Hana-ya," Soomin said, clearly impressed.
Hana blushed at the compliment. "Th-thanks!" she stammered.
"Now, go on. You don't want to be late," Soomin urged.
Hana waited for Taehyung, relieved she wasn't running late anymore. When Taehyung arrived, his gaze lingered on her, making her uncomfortable.
"You look horrible," he whispered into her ear.
"Thanks, Sir," Hana replied with a forced smile.
Taehyung ignored her and led her to the party venue. The event was grand, filled with high-profile individuals. Taehyung instructed Hana to stay by his side.
"Congratulations, Mr. Kim, on becoming the CEO," a man greeted Taehyung.
"Thank you, Mr. Jung," Taehyung replied.
The man then looked at Hana with interest. "And who is this beautiful lady?" he inquired.
"She's my..." Taehyung hesitated.
"Your wife, perhaps?" the man guessed.
Taehyung's face flushed with embarrassment. "No, she's my personal assistant, Miss Ahn. I'm not married yet," he clarified.
"Oh, pardon me. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Ahn. I'm Jung Hoseok, CEO of Jung Industries," the man said, extending his hand.
"Nice to meet you too, Mr. Jung," Hana responded warmly.
Mr. Jung was friendly and jovial, making Hana feel more at ease. However, her attention was soon drawn to a familiar face—Park Jimin.
"Tae, I didn't expect to see you here," Jimin said.
"Stop it, Jimin," Taehyung responded tersely.
Jimin's gaze then fell upon Hana, and he seemed surprised. "Oh, Hana, you're here too! Are you alright?" he asked, his tone surprisingly warm.
"Ne, Anneong Jimin. It's been a while. I'm here with Daepu-nim," Hana said, glancing at Taehyung, who was watching her with narrowed eyes.
"Daepu-nim?" Jimin repeated.
"She's my assistant, Jimin," Taehyung said flatly.
"Well, Tae, Mr. Song is waiting for you. He's eager to meet you," Jimin said, pointing out a new development.
"Ne. You," Taehyung gestured to Hana, "stay here."
"Arasseo," Hana replied.
She sat down on a nearby couch, the party's grandeur failing to distract her from her boredom. Suddenly, a man, clearly intoxicated, tapped her on the shoulder.
"Are you alone, beauty?" he slurred.
Hana ignored him, standing up, but he grabbed her hand and pulled her closer, placing his hand on her waist. The gesture made her furious. As she raised her hand to slap him, a wave of panic surged through her, bringing a traumatic memory to the forefront.
Her hesitation and fear led her to retreat, but before she could react further, the man shoved her towards the pool.
---
The scene erupted in chaos as Hana struggled to stay afloat. She couldn't swim, and her cries for help echoed through the party. Taehyung and Jimin rushed to the commotion, their faces a mix of alarm and urgency.
Taehyung stood frozen, his face reflecting his internal conflict. Jimin, without hesitation, dived in and pulled Hana out of the pool. Hana gasped for breath, drenched and shaken.
"Are you okay, Hana?" Jimin asked, concern evident in his voice.
Hana nodded, still in shock. Taehyung, however, was visibly agitated. He grabbed Hana's hand and dragged her out of the party and into his car, driving at breakneck speed. Hana remained silent, lost in her thoughts.
When Taehyung finally stopped the car, he yanked her out and pushed her against the door. He cupped her face with his hands, his dark eyes filled with anger and concern.
"Didn't I tell you to stay put?" he shouted.
Hana remained silent, her gaze fixed on him.
"You know, I really hate you. I don't even know how much," Taehyung continued, his voice tinged with frustration.
Hana stayed silent, her eyes locked with his.
Taehyung started to say something, but his words faltered. He was on the brink of admitting that he had been anxious about her—a sentiment he struggled to reconcile with his feelings of animosity.
Breaking the silence, Hana stammered, "Th-that man pushed me."
In a sudden, impulsive move, Taehyung kissed her. It was a rough, aggressive kiss, filled with unspoken emotions. Hana was taken aback, her body stiff and unresponsive. The kiss was a display of Taehyung's unresolved feelings rather than affection.
When he pulled away, Taehyung mumbled, "I-I was—"
"We're getting late, Daepu-nim. My eomma must be waiting for me," Hana interrupted, her voice steady despite the chaos. She seemed unaffected by the kiss, and Taehyung, embarrassed by his own actions, dropped her off and quickly left.
At home, Hana's mother, Mrs. Choi, noticed her disheveled appearance. "Hana-ya, why are you all wet? Is everything okay?"
"It's nothing, Eomma. I'm fine. It was just an accident," Hana replied, trying to sound nonchalant.
"Alright, dear. Go get changed," Mrs. Choi said.
Hana complied, her mind still reeling from the events of the night. The party, the confrontation with Taehyung, and the unexpected kiss had left her feeling unsettled. Despite the turmoil, she resolved to stay strong and face whatever came next with determination.
