"Hana-ya, are you ready?" Taehyung asked, his voice echoing softly through their home.
"Ten more minutes," she answered from the other room.
"Arasseo," he replied, leaning against the doorframe with a mix of anticipation and dread.
Today they were going to meet Lee Min Ho, the man who had shattered Hana's world and taken Jungkook's life. Hana was unaware that their meeting today would bring her face-to-face with her deepest fears. Taehyung knew she needed to be strong, and he silently vowed to protect her at all costs.
"Hana-ya, please be strong," he murmured under his breath.
"Why should I be strong?" Hana asked, catching him off guard.
Taehyung looked at her, her face radiant and unaware of the storm brewing.
"Eh, I was just talking to myself because you are going to drive today. That's why I was saying this," he lied, trying to mask his anxiety with a smile.
"Jinja? Come on, Taehyungie, I'm a good driver," she said confidently.
"Let's see," he teased.
Hana shook her head in disbelief, "Yaaa! Kim Bossy Taehyung, wait, I'm coming!"
In the car, Taehyung placed his hand over hers. "What's wrong, Hana?" he asked, sensing her unease.
"Ania, I'm just..." she trailed off.
"Missing him?" Taehyung asked gently.
"I have you," she said, trying to smile.
"Don't lie, Hana-ya. It's okay," he said softly.
She sighed, and they drove in silence until they reached the luxurious restaurant where the meeting was to take place.
Inside, they sat across from Jong Suk and a woman in her late twenties.
"So, where is he?" Taehyung asked.
"He'll be here soon. He got a call," Jong Suk replied. "Anyway, this is Lee Ji Eun, Mr. Lee's wife."
"Annyeong, Lee Ji Eun imnida," she greeted politely.
"Annyeong, Kim Taehyung imnida, and this is my beautiful wife, Kim Ha Na," Taehyung introduced them.
"Annyeong," Hana said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Nice to meet you," Ji Eun replied, her eyes darting nervously.
Hana noticed Ji Eun's unease and wondered why she seemed so afraid despite her privileged life. Suddenly, familiar footsteps echoed through the room, and Hana's heart sank. She clutched Taehyung's hand tightly.
"Annyeonghaseo, Lee Min Ho imnida. Sorry I'm late," Min Ho said as he approached the table.
"It's okay. Kim Taehyung imnida," Taehyung responded curtly.
Min Ho's gaze fell on Hana, and he smirked. "And who's this lovely lady?"
"She's my wife, Kim Hana," Taehyung said, his voice firm. "Hana, are you okay?"
Hana lifted her head, her face pale and her hands trembling. "Annyeong, Kim Hana imnida," she managed to say.
Min Ho's smirk widened. "I must say, you are very beautiful."
Taehyung clenched his fist under the table, fighting the urge to lash out. He could feel Hana's fear and knew he had to get her out of there.
"Ta-tae," Hana whispered, her voice shaking.
Taehyung leaned closer to her. "I'm not feeling well. Can we go home?" she pleaded softly.
"Of course, Hana. Don't worry," he reassured her.
"So, Mr. Kim, how did you two meet?" Min Ho asked casually.
"We were classmates," Taehyung replied, his patience wearing thin.
"Ah, from school days? That's nice. Mrs. Kim, you must have had many admirers," Min Ho continued, his eyes never leaving Hana.
"You're getting personal, Mr. Lee," Taehyung said, his tone warning.
"Well, I'm sorry, Mr. Kim," Min Ho said, raising his hands in mock surrender.
"Mr. Lee, we have to go," Taehyung said abruptly, standing up.
"Thank you for your time, Mr. Kim, and for bringing your precious wife," Min Ho said with a sly smile.
"What?" Taehyung asked, his face blank.
"Nothing, just joking," Min Ho said, waving them off.
They left the restaurant, and Hana immediately went to their room once they got home. Taehyung followed her, finding her trembling and crying.
"What's wrong, Hana?" he asked, pulling her into his arms.
"He's the... He's the one, Taehyung. Please, let's leave. I don't want to stay here," she sobbed.
Taehyung held her tighter, his heart breaking. He knew she was talking about Min Ho, but he had to keep his facade. "What's wrong, Hana-ya? Tell me," he coaxed gently.
"I can't... I can't tell you," she said, shaking her head. "But please, let's go back. We don't need this contract."
Taehyung sighed, kissing her forehead. "Okay, Hana. We'll figure it out."

Later, Taehyung called Yoongi to update him on the meeting.
"How was it?" Yoongi asked.
"It was good, but Hana was really frightened. I can't take this anymore, hyung," Taehyung admitted.
"Don't worry, Tae. We'll trap him soon. Hana just needs to face him bravely once more," Yoongi reassured.
"But hyung, she isn't safe around him. What if he does something?" Taehyung asked, his voice filled with concern.
"He won't. We'll protect her. Trust me," Yoongi said firmly.
"Okay, hyung. I trust you," Taehyung replied.

Meanwhile, at the Lee residence, Min Ho was in a celebratory mood.
"Why are you so happy?" Ji Eun asked nervously.
Min Ho approached her, his eyes gleaming with malice. "Because I met my old pleasure today," he said, his voice dripping with venom.
Ji Eun's heart sank. "T-that Kim Hana is Ahn Hana?" she asked, her voice trembling.
"Yes," he replied, a sinister smile playing on his lips.
"W-what are you planning?" she stammered.
"I'm missing her... Her body," he whispered cruelly.
"Please, don't ruin her life. She deserves to be happy," Ji Eun pleaded.
In a fit of rage, Min Ho slapped her. "You are nothing but a piece of garbage. I married you for your money. You get it?"
He stormed out, leaving Ji Eun on the floor, tears streaming down her face.
"Yes, you're right. You can't love anyone but yourself," she whispered to the empty room.
