"You did what?"

"I was accused of something I didn't do. I am being relocated to a different school."

I sighed, "I know you wanted to do good, but you shouldn't dive into problems you can't think through."

"Look, if you were put in that situation, don't tell me you wouldn't do anything about it!"

"I would do something about it, but I am not like you. They wouldn't think a girl would molest another girl! We may be in a progressive time, but people still look down upon that."

"I get what you're saying, but do you really think I would do that kind of gross action to someone I don't know?"

"Not even that kind of thought would come into my mind. I get you were trying to do something good in this world, but people have distorted hearts and minds."

He sighed, "I guess you're right."

"Where are you being relocated anyway?"

"A guy's place. His name is Sakura."

"Sakura. I think he owns a cafe."

"He does?"

"Yeah."

"I see. I'm also going to Shujin Academy."

"You're going all the way over there?"

"Yeah. I guess we won't be seeing each other as much."

I stood there and looked at the ground, "I guess. I could always transfer."

"I wouldn't want you to do that. Besides, you belong where you are now. I never belonged here anyway."

"Don't say things like that. You belong here as much as I do."

"Nobody really thinks that. They all think I'm a pain in the ass. Always causing trouble. Even my parents weren't objecting to send me off to Shujin."

"Really?"

"Yeah. They're supposed to be there for me. They weren't."

"Well if any one is going to be there for you, might as well be me."

"Thanks, but I'd rather take this on alone."

"I know you want to seem you have a hard outer shell, but face it, you don't. You're soft and caring. You can't change that."

"What about you? I don't think your parents will be willing to transfer you to Shujin because I'm going there. Sure we met at the same middle school and have been friends since, but that doesn't mean you have to follow me. Look, I'm not trying to sound like I'm pushing you away, but I want you to be safe."

"I understand."

"I'll come by to say my last goodbyes."

"When will that be?"

"In a few weeks."

"Ok."

"I'll see you around."

"See ya."

He gave me a quick hug before leaving. I closed the door and sighed. I looked at the wall to my right and saw all of the photos my mom kept for me. All of the photos consisted of me and Ren. We met each other back in middle school and remained friends ever since. I knew he had a rebellious heart, but who would think his heart would go to this level? Molesting someone? That doesn't sound like Ren. Even if I wasn't there to witness it, he still doesn't deserve this kind of punishment. They don't even have proof that he actually did it. The only thing that he did was try to get that man away from that woman. He was trying to defend her because it didn't seem like the woman was trying her best to get away from him. I walked up the stairs and into my room. My dog and cat were lying in the center of my bed. I smiled and looked at my calendar.

"Few weeks, huh? I could try to convince them to send me."

I pulled out my phone and saw it was around four o'clock. I put my phone in my pocket and sat down on the edge of my bed. My cat jumped off and walked into my sister's room. My dog laid her head on my lap and whined. I stroked the top of her head and smiled.

"What am I going to do with him?" I asked myself. "Always getting into trouble. He's not much of the trouble-maker when I first met him. What makes him think he can pull these stunts without ever thinking about getting caught? I guess this time it wasn't all his fault. Still, the police shouldn't be one sided. I don't think they even gave him a chance to explain himself. Those pieces of shit."

"Who are you talking to?" my sister called from her room.

"Just talking to myself," I called to her.

"Oh. Are you talking about the whole situation with what happened to Ren?"

"Yes."

She walked out of her room and stood at my doorway. "Look, what ever happened with him, I'm sure he didn't get too harsh of a punishment. What did he even do anyway?"

"Well, the police accused him of molesting a woman and then attacked an innocent person."

"What is his side of the story?"

"He saw a drunk man trying to molest a woman. He stepped in. He was just trying to help."

"I see. Perception these days. Clouded by one's own desires."

"I can agree with you on that."

"So what did the police punish him with?"

"Relocation and transfer to a different school."

"You want to try to go with him, don't you?"

"What makes you think that?"

"I might of have been eavesdropping on your conversation."

"Hey!"

"Sorry, but listen to me, Y/N. If you try to follow him, you might end up with the same perception people see him now. They see him as a criminal and they might associate you with him too. I'm not saying don't try to persuade mom and dad, but once they hear the word about this, they might not want you to hang around with him."

"He's leaving in a few weeks. In those few weeks he has to get everything over to the place he is staying and file transfer papers from the schools. We might not be able to see each other until the day he leaves."

"I see, but might want to inform mom about what happened."

"If it was on the news, she might know already."

"Let's hope she doesn't know."

"If you were given the option of following your best friend, despite what they did, would you?"

My sister sighed, but she stood there for a few moments. "I would want to, but nothing means more than family."

"Not even for Ann?"

"Not even for Ann," she answered.
