I got out of the shower, dried off, and headed into my room. I changed into pajamas and sat down on my bed. They didn't have to do this. I was grateful for them letting me spend some time here. I walked over to my dresser to grab my glasses when I saw something. I picked it up and saw it was the note I had written the day after the dance. I have never given it to Y/N. I opened it up and read it through again. I was about to fold it up, but felt something underneath it. I flipped it over and saw it was another piece of paper. I pulled it off and opened it up.
"Ren,
I know I shouldn't have done this, but I read the note you had addressed to me. I'm sorry. But I want to say this, I've liked you since a year ago. I am not trying to reciprocate your feelings. I honestly had feelings for you a year ago. And it's a bit hard to believe that you've had feelings for me since three years ago. Anyway, I hope we can be together.
~Y/N"
I folded the note back up and put them back on my dresser. I walked out of my room and knocked on her door. She opened up the door and looked at me.
"Everything you said, is it true?"
She grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and pulled me towards her. She placed her lips onto mine. My eyes widened, but I melted in. She pulled me into her room and she closed her door. She pulled away and looked down at the ground. I just stood there and adjusted my glasses.
"I'll take that as a yes," I said.
"You dummy," she smiled.
"At least I'm your dummy," I said drawing her into a hug.
"Yeah."
I pulled away from her, "I'll see you in the morning."
"Ok."
I smiled at her and kissed her forehead. I walked out of her room and into mine. I closed the door and laid on the bed. Morgana came out from wherever he was from and laid next to me.
"And you said it wasn't like that," Morgana said.
"Oh shut up," I said and rolled onto the other side.
In the morning I got up and changed. My mother, father, and sister left for work and I had to get ready for school. Ren was going to be here by himself, which I didn't really like the thought of that. But I couldn't miss school. I walked out of my room and headed into the bathroom. As I was getting ready, Ren came out from his room and came into the bathroom. He wrapped his arms around my waist and put his head on my shoulder.
"Morning," he said into my neck.
"Morning," I said and looked over at him.
"Heading to school?"
"Yeah. Do you think you'll be ok here?"
"I should be."
"Ok. Don't go messing up the house."
"I don't make any promises," he smirked.
I smiled at him and I headed downstairs. I grabbed something quick to eat and got my shoes on.
"We're on our own for dinner. My sister is going out with her friends and my mother and father are going out on a date. Any ideas?"
"I'll come up with one," he said.
"Alright, I'll see you later."
"See ya," he said and gave me a hug goodbye.
Before I pulled away, I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving. I opened up the door and walked out.
"See ya, Ren."
"See ya, Y/N," he said and closed the door.
I walked over to the bus stop and got on. The bus dropped me off at the school and I headed in. I had another month until I was finally out of school. I got to my locker and put a few things in it.
"Y/N!" Maria called.
"Hey, Maria," I said.
"Anything happen over the weekend?"
"Well, Ren is back."
"He is?"
"Yeah. He can't come back to the school, though. He's currently in my house."
"You trust him in your house alone?"
"I do."
I talked to her for a bit before heading to my first class. Around lunchtime I sat down with Maria and checked in on Ren. He was just hanging out with Morgana, my cat, and dog.
"He really is an animal person," Maria said.
"I think it has to do with Morgana."
"He got a cat?"
"Yeah. Morgana's pretty sweet." I showed her a picture of Morgana.
"Aww, he's cute."
"Yeah. Ren found him all alone and decided to take him in."
After school was over, I walked back towards the bus stop and waited to go home. It dropped me off and I walked the rest of the way there. When I got my key from my pocket, I unlocked the door and walked inside. My dog came running up to me. I rubbed her head and greeted her. Morgana came over and jumped onto my shoulder.
"You're quite the jumper."
"Well, you've got to learn how to," Morgana said.
"He's fallen three times today," Ren called from the kitchen.
"Did he really?"
"No! He's just trying to make fun of me."
"Morgana, did you really fall three times?"
"Yeah," he said and flattened his ears.
"It's alright. You'll get the hang of it," I said and rubbed his ears.
"Ooh, I like her," he purred.
"Think of a place for dinner?" I asked Ren as I came into the kitchen.
"I thought we could go get some ramen. Ryuji has showed me a good place."
"Is that on the other side of the city?"
"Kind of," Ren said.
"I don't see why not."
"You don't need to dress fancy or anything."
"Oh. Ok."
We waited for a little bit before heading over to the train station. We got on the first train and waited for our stop. Once it got to our stop, we headed over to the restaurant. We sat down in the back and Ren talked about what happened while he was with the Phantom Thieves. He made sure not to speak too loudly since who knew was watching and listening.
"Ren?!"
