Take your time or I'll take your Heart

Chapter 25

"Call me by my name and I shall assist anyone who wishes to suppress their oppressors! I am the reptile of termination--Drake!"

The shadow of my father cowered in fear as he stood face to face with Drake. Joker and Morgana ran up next to me.

"Come, Arsene!" Joker yelled as his mask turned into a blue fire.

"Let's go, Zorro!" Morgana called and his persona appeared behind him. "He's probably going to run. He doesn't have control over you anymore."

"Then let's make him pay for what he's done!" I said.

"Heh! You think you can stop me? No one can stop me since I control all!" he yelled in a distorted voice. His body bent backwards and turned into something horrid. It looked like a mix between a demon and a puppeteer. His puppets was me, my mother, and my sister. He held them closely as his guards were going to attack. He had strings attached to them as well. "I control all!" my father yelled again.

"Who makes the first move?" I asked.

"Go get 'em, Joker!" Morgana called.

"Persona!"

Arsene attacked and my father grunted as he took damage.

"Zorro!" Morgana yelled and Zorro attacked.

"Drake!" I yelled and Drake attacked. My father's shadow was weak to when it came to Drake's attacks.

"He's going to attack soon, be on guard," Morgana said.

My father attacked. It looked like chains were flying at us. All of us dodged as it came flying towards us.

"Y/N, this wouldn't be happening if you just listened! What I am doing is for the sake of this family!"

"That's not what you're doing! You're dragging this family into a hell hole!"

"Foolish! You speak as if you knew what was going on! You don't! You're such a naive girl who wants to gloss over the truth!"

"I'm not glossing over the truth now! I want to know the truth behind these actions you have against towards my mother and my sister. You just want them so that you can control them. You're not going to control them any longer! Finish him, Drake!"

Drake was about to attack, but my father dodged it. He sent out a wind attack and it caused us to fall down because of the strong gust. He pulled out a whip and was about to whip it at me. I was still getting up from the attack that I didn't see what was happening. The whip came right at me. It was too late.

"Y/N!" Ren yelled and jumped in front of me. The whip slashed him in the back. He yelled in pain and fell onto the ground.

"Joker!" Morgana yelled.

"Now you know not to mess with me!" my father cackled.

I ran over to Joker and saw his coat was torn down the middle. It would be a serious affect on him when we returned from the metaverse. My father now had a new enemy to attack: Ren.

"You stupid boy. You're just as much as a fool as her! Now, you get to pay the price." He pulled out the whip again and whipped Joker in the back. He yelled out in pain once more.

"Hang in there, Joker," Morgana said.

"Take him to a safe place. I can handle him," I said.

"Are you sure, Y/N?" Morgana asked.

"I'm sure. Take care of him," I said and kissed the top of his head. His breathing was becoming heavy and uneven. "Now, Morgana!"

Morgana tried his best to get Joker up. The two of them ran out of the area.

"Now it's just you. Time for you to face your punishment."

"It's time for you to face the consequences of your actions," I said and summoned Drake. "You're bound to be weak right now. Might as well give up this fight. You know you're going to lose, but don't want to admit it to yourself."

"I will never admit failure! That's why I've been so successful throughout my life."

"It's time for you to taste what failure is! Drake!"

Drake cried out and attacked my father once more. It was a critical hit. That form turned back into my father's shadow form. He was on his knees when I walked over to him. I stared down at him as he looked into my eyes.

"You're right. It's about time for me to pay for what I've done. I'll return to my body now."

He vanished and left something behind. I picked it up and the walls around me started to crumble. I ran out of the room and found Morgana and Joker were sitting outside in the hall.

"He's not doing so well. We need to get out of here!" Morgana said.

"No kidding! Joker, can you hear me?"

"Y/N?" he asked.

"Can you walk?"

He stood up, but his back was in a lot of pain.

"Morgana, I'm going to need your help."

"Already on it!" Morgana said as he transformed into a bus.

"That was convenient," I said.

"Just get in!"

I put Joker in the passenger seat and got into the driver's seat. I grabbed hold of the steering wheel and drove out of the palace.

"You know, you're pretty useful in the metaverse," I said as I drove Morgana out of the castle.

"I get that a lot," Morgana said.

We drove out of the exit and returned to the real world. I fell onto my side and Morgana landed on his feet. Ren had his back facing the sky and he was lying on the ground. I instantly got up to see Ren was bleeding from his shirt.

"We need to get him medical assistance," I said. "Morgana, can you watch over him for right now?"

"Sure."

I ran towards the garage door of my parent's house. I typed in the pass code and the door opened up. My mother was there with my father.

"Y/N, what are you doing?" my mother asked.

"There's no time. I need the car."

My mother tossed me the keys and I got into the other car.

"Where are you going?" I asked them.

"Your father just confessed. I'm taking him to the police station. Where are you going?"

"Ren's hurt," I said and drove out of the garage. I stopped and helped Ren into the car. There was going to be blood on the seat. "Stay with me, Ren," I said and drove towards the hospital.
