That was strange. He told me he was seeing things. What kind of things was he seeing? Whatever it is, I hope it doesn't bother him. I know how much he wants to try to make things right. If he spouts off about what he has seen, people are going to think he's nuts! I don't want them to do anything harmful to him. I think he can handle himself, but I just don't want him to suffer more than he already has. I got into bed and fell asleep.

In the morning I got ready for school and headed out. My sister was going to work along with my mother and father. Since they were out before I was, I made sure my dog was in her cage before leaving. I hated leaving her in there for almost the entire day. My sister's cat was in my sister's room. I know he'll be ok until I get back from school. I walked out the front door, locked the door, and put the key in my pocket. I headed over to the bus stop and waited for the bus to arrive. I got on and waited for my stop. I got off and headed into school. There were only a few friends I had here, but none of them were like Ren. I walked over to my locker and put some things away. I had time before the first class. That's when I got a message from Ren.

"Some real messed up shit is happening."

"What do you mean by that?"

There was nothing after that. He's usually quick to respond. I thought nothing of it and put my phone back in my pocket.

"Y/N!" a voice called.

I looked to my right and saw one of my friends walking towards me.

"Hey, Maria," I said.

"I heard what happened to Ren," she said.

"You did?"

"It was just about how he transferred to different schools."

"Oh."

"You must be upset."

"I am, but if Ren was here, he'd tell me to be strong."

"Yeah. Besides, he wasn't the best student here in the school."

"You're right," I said. "But it's going to be a bit different without him here."

"Why do you say that?" she asked. But before I could answer, she said something. "Are you interested in him?"

"What? No way in hell! We've been friends since we first met in middle school. Why would I be interested in him?"

"You just never seem to hang around another guy."

"Because when I try to talk to one, they either are not interested or straight out ignore me," I said.

"You do have a point, but that was when Ren was here. They might have thought you two were dating."

"What so with Ren out of the picture, do you think I can have a dating life?"

"Maybe."

"I'm interested, but I don't think I should start dating. Especially when I have two more years here at high school. And I don't think anyone here is my type."

"Well what is your type?"

"I don't know," I said quietly.

"Come on, let's head to class. Don't want to be late."

"What the hell happened to your clothes?" the blond kid asked.

I looked at my clothing. I wasn't wearing the school uniform. I was wearing a black trench coat, black pants, black boots, red gloves, and a mask.

"And what the hell was that?" he asked.

He was probably talking about that thing that came from my bleeding eyes. I'm surprised the blood cleared away quickly.

"We've got no time for that. Come on!"

I nodded and followed him out. We locked up the king of this castle and looked for a way out. We walked past one of the cells.

"Hey! Over here!"

We looked to where the voice was coming from and saw this cat like thing.

"Down here! Can you guys help me out?"

"Why should we help you out?" the blond kid asked.

"If you want to get out of here with your lives, I'm the only person who can help you achieve that."

"Damn. Is this for real?" the kid asked.

"Hey, keep your voice down! You're going to attract the guards here!"

"So that's what they are," the kid said.

"You're not that bright, are you?"

"Hey! Don't call me dumb, cat!"

"What did you call me?"

"Hey, if we don't get out of here, that person we saw back there will come after us," I said. "We don't have much time. We need to get out of here."

"I'm with him," the cat said.

"If we get you out of here, you can show us the way out?" I asked.

"I sure can!"

I grabbed the keys and unlocked the cell door. The cat walked out and we all managed to get out of there. Although we had to fight our way out.

"I didn't formally introduce myself," the cat said as we were making our way out of the castle. "I'm Morgana."

"Ryuji," the blond kid said.

"Ren," I said.

"Nice to meet you two. Now, let's get out of here."

"Please," Ryuji said. "This shit is nuts!"

"Who was the guy back there?" I asked.

"You mean Kamoshida? He's the coach of the volleyball team. A real asshole if you ask me."

"Why do you say that?"

"He thinks he's the king of the school."

"Will you two please hurry it up?!" Morgana yelled.

We walked into a room and saw nothing. There was no way for us to escape.

"What the hell do we do now?" Ryuji asked.

"The vents?" I asked as I looked at it.

"That's a brilliant idea! You're not too bad," Morgana said.

"Let's go," I said and jumped up and crawled through the vents.

When we emerged, everything was back to normal. I looked around and saw the school was not a castle.

"Was that for real?" Ryuji asked. "You saw that too, didn't you?"

"Yeah," I said.

"That shit wasn't made up!"

"Hey, what are you two doing?" the counselor asked.

"Sorry, sir, we got a bit lost on the way here," I said.

"Likewise. Ah, you're the kid who transferred. I see you're already with Sakamoto. Stay away from him. He's a bad influence. Come on you two."

We walked up the steps and into the school. There was a teacher standing by the entrance.

"Ah, Sakamoto. Late as always," said the teacher.

"We got lost damnit!" Ryuji said.

"Uh-huh. And you dragged the new kid in. You should know better," he said to me.

"Uh, right," I said.

"Look, you've got a criminal record. We won't hesitate to throw you out if you get in trouble," said the teacher.

"I've got this under control," said the counselor.

"I'm sure you do," said the teacher and he walked away.

"Who was that?" I asked Ryuji.

"That, was Kamoshida."
