Chapter 28

~1 year~

About a year has passed. I looked in the mirror and saw Ann, Makoto, my sister, Futaba, and Haru were standing behind me. I smiled as I looked at them through the mirror. Haru was going to be the flower girl while my sister was the maid of honor. Ann, Makoto, and Futaba were my bridesmaids. My mother came into the room a few minutes later.

"You look beautiful, Y/N," she said.

"Thanks, mom."

"Are you nervous?"

"Just a bit."

"Don't be. You've been with Ren for a long time."

"I know."

"How do you think he's doing with the boys?" Haru asked as she was helping Futaba with her hair.

"They're probably causing a lot of trouble," I said.

"Ryuji, can you stop for one second and put it on?!" Yusuke asked.

"Why do I need to wear that?" Ryuji asked.

"This is Ren's wedding! You need to look better than what you have on now."

"I like what I'm wearing. Do you have a problem with it, Yusuke?"

"I do because it's not appropriate! Can I at least strike a deal with you?"

"What kind of deal?"

"If you wear the suit for the first half, you can take if off at the reception."

"Ugh, fine."

"Thank you."

"What are you two going on about now?" Morgana asked.

"Nothing," Ryuji said. "Where's Ren? Shouldn't he be here by now?"

"He's talking to his old friend from middle school. He's just making sure he has everything before he comes and changes."

"Let's hope he can get here in time," Yusuke said.

"The wedding doesn't start for another three hours. People are still getting in and arriving," Morgana said.

"Who's all coming?" Yusuke asked.

"Y/N's mother, Ren's parents, Y/N's grandparents, aunt, and some of her cousins. It's mostly friends and Y/N's friend is coming as well."

"Not that big of a wedding," Ryuji said.

"Did you expect them to have a big wedding? They weren't known for having a lot of friends back in the day. The only big group of friends Ren has had was the Phantom Thieves," Morgana said.

"Yeah, I'd expect at least a few more people than that."

"Ren's family hasn't really talked to him since he moved to go to Shujin."

"Really? They haven't kept in touch with him?" Ryuji asked.

"It's better than having parents come rather than no parents," Yusuke said.

"Yeah. Look at Yusuke. He doesn't have anyone from his family."

Ryuji put a hand on his shoulder, "You've got us."

"And I've been thankful ever since. Although I didn't like you the first time we met."

"Yeah."

I came in and saw Yusuke, Ryuji, and Morgana were waiting for me.

"Sorry to keep you waiting. I was just talking to Yu."

"That guy?" Ryuji asked.

"He was the only other friend other than Y/N we had back in middle school. I don't talk about him much because we haven't talked since about three months ago."

"It's always nice to get back in touch with friends," Morgana said.

"Alright, we have about two hours before the wedding gets started. Ryuji, are you going to wear that while you're out there?"

"No. Yusuke struck a deal with me. I'll change back into this during the reception."

"I don't have a problem with that," I said. I grabbed my suit and changed into it. I made sure I had my rose on my right side and I had the Phantom Thief symbol on my left. It wasn't big, but it was noticeable when you walked up to it. I fixed my tie and I made sure everything looked good. We had about thirty minutes before we had to start. Ryuji and Yusuke walked out towards the hallway and met up with Y/N's sister, Makoto, and Futaba. Yu was out there waiting for them.

"Are you ready, Ren?" Morgana asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be."

I walked out and saw my mother was waiting for me. I got behind Yu and Futaba and waited for them to enter the hall. I walked down with my mother and saw Sojiro was in the audience. I smiled at him and he smiled back. I stood in front of Ryuji and waited for Y/N to come out. When she did, she was just as beautiful as ever. She was walking with her mother and I met her down at the end.

"Take good care of her, Ren," her mother said.

"I will, Mrs. L/N."

I walked back up with Y/N. We faced each other and the priest walked out in front of us.

"Good afternoon, everyone. Today we celebrate the day that brings us together. Either by a family get together because we need to see each other, by supporting one another, or by the union of two lovers. Today, we're being brought together because two people have fallen in love and are ready for a commitment. I believe that they're ready. Today, we have Ren Amamiya and Y/N L/N. Ren, would you like to start the vows?"

"Thank you," Ren said. "I am thou, thou art I. Thou hast required a new vow. It shall become the wings of rebellion that breaketh thy chains of captivity. With the birth of the Husband persona, I have obtained the winds of blessing that shall lead to love and new life."

"Thank you, Ren. Y/N?"

"I am thou, thou art I. Thou hast required a new vow. It shall become the wings of strength that breatheth thy chains of weakness. With the birth of the Wife persona, I have obtained the winds of blessing that shall lead to happiness and love."

"May we have the rings, please?"

Morgana came walking down the aisle with Scarlet. Scarlet was holding the ring for me and Morgana was holding the ring for Y/N. I picked up both of the rings and petted both of them. They headed back towards the room and I handed my ring to Y/N.

"Do you, Ren, take Y/N, to be your loving wife, as long as you both shall live?"

"I do."

"Do you, Y/N, take Ren, to be your loving husband, as long as you both shall live?"

"I do."

I slipped her ring onto her finger and she slipped my ring onto my finger.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. Mr. and Mrs. Amamiya! You may kiss the bride."

I wrapped my arms around her waist and her's went around my neck. Our lips met for a brief moment and we pulled away from each other. I pressed my forehead against Y/N's and smiled at her.

"I love you," I said.

"I love you too," she said.
