In the locker room at school, after football practice, Reggie had just gotten out of the shower. He was slipping on his jeans when Jason and Chuck appeared, both of which were also getting dressed.
Everyone else that was on the football team had left so the three teenage boys were the only ones left in the locker room, "So, what happened yesterday when you hung out with Jack?" Chuck asked Reggie curiously, "I mean, it's the only valid reason why you would have ditched us yesterday when we were all planning to go to that party in Greendale."
Reggie froze in place for a brief moment before continuing to get dressed. As he slipped on his shirt, he shrugged his shoulders, "Nothing much," he lied in a calm tone, not wanting to tell his two friends what had happened the day before with Jack.
He knew that Jason and Chuck wanted to know every single detail on what happened between the two, but Reggie knew for a fact he couldn't do Jack dirty like that and tell them that she had gone down on him without him even asking her to.
"You sure about that?" Jason asked, walking over to Reggie until he was standing right beside where he stood in front of his locker, "You're clearly lying. I can see it on your face."
"I don't want to talk about it," Reggie argued, shaking his head in response.
"If you want to win the bet, you have to tell us what happened," Chuck reminded him and Reggie wanted nothing more than to tell them that he wanted nothing to do with the bet anymore but he knew he couldn't.
"We went swimming at this lake in the woods," He informed the group, "We kissed."
"And? That's it?" Jason asked him confused, "There is no way that we believe that you were alone in the woods with a girl and just 'kissed'."
Reggie let out a large sigh, avoiding eye contact with Jason and Chuck as he spoke up, his voice barely audible, "She went down on me." He muttered quietly, causing Chuck and Jason's eyes to widen in shock at the reveal.
"Damn," Chuck laughed along with Jason, "Who knew Elena's baby sister was so freaky. And here we were thinking she was innocent. But then again, we didn't know she was the type to beat people up, but then she sent a girl to the hospital, punched her own sister, and also punched Jason in the throat."
"I'm starting to feel like we have a bit of a basket case on our hands," Jason commented causing both him and Chuck to laugh loudly.
"Shut up," Reggie snapped at them in a low tone, slamming his locker door shut as he turned to them.
Jason frowned, sharing a look with Chuck, both of which were clearly catching on to what was happening to their friend, "Something's up with you," Jason pointed out, causing Reggie to frown.
"What the hell are you talking about," Reggie complained loudly, "Nothing's up with me!'
Jason took a step toward Reggie, eying him closely, "You're not starting to like her, are you?" He asked Reggie skeptically.
Reggie sighed out in defeat, "Don't you think what we're doing is a little fucked up?" He asked the two boys, "I think Moose is right. This is low, even for us."
Jason scoffed loudly, "Damn, you're not just starting to like her, you're falling in love with her!" He exclaimed loudly, "Listen here, Reggie," he paused, pushing Reggie against the lockers, "Quit having doubts about it. You're finishing this bet whether you like it or not. You even think about stopping? I'll tell Jack myself all about this plan and I'll blame it all on you. Who do you think she'll believe when I show her all the texts I have between the three of us about the bet?"
Reggie roughly pushed Jason away. The redhead boy stumbled a bit before recovering. Just as Jason was about to do something back to him, Reggie spoke up, "Fine," He decided, giving him a hesitant look.
"Good choice. Now get your head out of your ass and get back on task. Grow a pair, Mantle. The last thing you want to do is fall for Jack. She'll ruin everything that makes you 'You' and change you into a totally different person," Jason explained, slapping Reggie lightly on the back before leaving the Mantle alone in the locker room.
Once they had left, Reggie yelled out in anger as he punched his locker with all the strength he had, "Dammit!" He shouted out angrily, kicking the bench behind him after doing so.
After cooling down, he picked up his gym bag, which had his phone in it. He quickly turned on his phone before dialing Jack's phone number, "Pick up, pick up. Please, pick up," He muttered to himself, hoping to hear Jack's voice on the other end of the phone.
_____
At the Whyte Wyrm, Jack was sitting with Toni and Sweet Pea at a table that was right next to the pool table that Fangs and Joaquin playing at. Her phone vibrated and Jack lifted up her phone to see that it was Reggie calling her.
She sighed dramatically, pressing the decline button before setting the phone back down at the table. Sweet Pea watched what she had done closely before speaking up, "So, how is the whole Reggie thing going?" Sweet Pea asked Jack curiously, "You haven't told us any new information lately."
"Great," Jack replied quickly, fake smiling at them, "It's going great."
"Anything interesting happen yet that's worth sharing?" Fangs asked the girl curiously and Jack froze for a brief moment.
Not wanting to give herself away, Jack shrugged her shoulders, "Eh, nothing much," she lied, but Sweet Pea was the first to see right through her, seeing as he was the one who knew her the best. Honestly, Sweet Pea knew Jack like the back of his hand and vice versa.
Sweet Pea gave Jack a skeptical look, "Something happened," he spoke up, "I can see it on your face. You're lying to us."
Jack glanced around at the group, all of which gave her a curious look, "I gave him a blow job," She admitted quietly, causing all of their eyes to widen in shock.
"What?" The whole group exclaimed.
"You heard me," Jack replied, becoming more confidently as she told them after saying it the first time.
"Do you think he's falling for you?" Joaquin asked curiously.
"I don't know," Jack answered, shrugging her shoulders slightly, "I don't know if he's falling for me just yet, but I do know for a fact that he has some sort of feelings for me."
"You don't like him back, right?" Toni asked the girl, giving her a concerned look.
Jack scoffed, "Of course not!" She replied quietly before avoiding eye contact, hoping she was actually right when she uttered those words. When saying the three letter response, it almost as if she was trying to assure herself not to, but he honestly had no clue if she telling the truth or lying to herself when she said she didn't like Reggie. She hoped it was the first one.
AN: My heart literally aches for Reggie in the scene where he calls her, hoping for her to answer. If you didn't know, he was calling her in hopes of getting some reassurance at the sound of her voice before he confessed to her about the bet, but of course, Jack didn't answer, which ruined it. He's clearly falling for her hard, but of course, it's going to take Jack longer to reciprocate those feelings.
It's probably odd for you all to read this kind of plot. Usually, when there's a book about a bet type thing, it's usually the main character who's being played and even if Jack is technically being played, Jack's more of the bad guy in the story that will ruin everything if Reggie knew about her 'Cruel Intentions' Haha.
