Once leaving the Whyte Wyrm, Jack headed back home, where she overheard Elena talking with their mother and father, "Mom? Dad? Can we talk?" Elena asked her mother and father curiously, clearly wanting to talk about Jack's condition.

"Sorry. We can't, honey. We're heading to the lake house until Sunday. Didn't you hear? We're putting it on the market, which means we have to clear out Grandma's stuff," Diana informed her eldest daughter, "Aunt Alice was going to do it, but since Hal is out of town, there's no one to watch Polly and Betty and she doesn't trust them alone."

"Also the fact that she doesn't want to be the one that has to clean the blood in the bathroom," Carter muttered under his breath, causing both Elena and Diana to turn to him.

"Shut up, Carter," Diana snapped at her husband quietly, not wanting her daughter to know the real reason they were being forced to spend a whole week at the lake house, not just a weekend. She took a deep breath, turning to face Elena, "Listen, I trust that you and Jack will be okay here by yourselves. I'll call you two everyday, okay? And no parties. You can invite friends over, but no boys. And especially don't let Jack let Sweet Pea over."

"You're leaving me here by myself?" Jack entered the room, her eyes wide in alarm, "You can't leave!"

Elena sighed, facepalming herself, hoping Jack's abandonment problems wouldn't lead to the same thing that happened the last time their parents were forced to spend some time out of the town.

Jack was fourteen, crying like a baby as she refused to let their mother leave. She clung onto her mother's arm, trying her best to pull her back into the house. It didn't end well, to say the least. People would think Jack would love to be home alone with no parents for a week like any other normal teenage girl, but that wasn't the case. The girl had serious abandonment issues.

Diana sighed, walking over to her daughter. She cupped Jack's face with her hands, placing a kiss to her forehead before looking down at the girl, "You'll be fine," She assured her in a calm tone, "We'll be back before you know it. Now, we have to go. Stay out of trouble."

Carter and Diana gave both of them daughters a hug and kiss goodbye before leaving. Once they did so, Elena turned to Jack with a smile on her face, "We'll be fine," She assured her sister, who awkwardly nodded, "And just so you know, we're having a party here Friday night. I'll let you invite Sweet Pea as long as you promise that you'll make sure he doesn't start any trouble."

"Fangs, too," Jack demanded, crossing her arms over her chest.

"No, just Sweet Pea. No Fangs," Elena argued sternly.

"Yes Fangs or I call Mom and tell her that you're planning to have a party," Jack threatened her sister, smirking evilly at her.

"Fine, you bitch," Elena scoffed, taking a step toward Jack, "But if any beef, fights, or drama starts because both Fangs and Sweet Pea are here, partying with a bunch of Northside kids, I'll ruin your life."
