Fraener

"You really should go see the boy," Kaiia, the eldest sister mused earning an irritated groan from me. I twisted the heel of my boot in irritation. "Yeah? Which one?" I joked with little to no humor. They weren't doing a good job at calming me down. I looked around the gigantic bedroom that housed all thirteen of my sisters. "Both? The two seem really important to you." Shirri, the second eldest sister commented before taking a sip of the wine I snatched before flying over. "Thanks for the beverage, big bro!"

We all snapped our heads to the side where Mira, the youngest stood with a glass of red liquid. Kaiia ran over and snatched the glass. "Mira! You're still too young!" She scowled before quickly downing the glass. They both looked like carbon copies of our mother. We all did.

"Zaelyn's being an ass and Ferris, well that just isn't an option," I sighed. All three of my sister's shot me incredulous looks.

"Of course he's an option!"

"Don't be ridiculous, Fraener."

"You're being a coward,"

I made a sharp intake as if each of my sisters had punched me in the gut. "Who cares if his hormones makes you horny for him? If you care about the boy you should act on it!" Mira snapped earning side-eye from all of us. "It's his pheromones, little sister." I corrected before hopping up onto the table.

"This is too stressful. Every possible option ends in the suffering of all three of us. There's just no easy way out," I mumbled, bringing the bottle of wine to my lips and taking a sip. "Of course there's no easy way out! You and Zaelyn clearly love him!"

I choked on the wine, spitting a bit out. I had no idea why those words struck something within me but they did. "Don't get the wine on the carpet, big brother." Mira joked before taking the bottle and having a quick swig. That resulted in a slap upside the head.

"As far as I can see there's only two options, reject Ferris and live with the regret or ravish him with your love." Kaiia sighed, popping a purple grape into her mouth. I groaned again. "Mother knows, Fraener. She had a chat with Ferris." Mira piped up. I shot all three of my sisters death glares. "Did you guys tell her?!"

They all exchanged glances before Mira and Shirri pointed an accusing finger at Kaiia. She huffed in annoyance. "She was bound to find out!" She excused. "We had a deal! I supply the wine, I rant, you don't tell Mother!" I barked my face hot with anger.

Shirri tsk'd. "No matter how old we get we'll always bicker like children."

Her words helped lighten the mood, placing a smile on my lips. I looked around the gigantic room, inspecting each vacant bed. This place was once a ballroom that could house hundreds of supernatruals. It was once connected to the main castle but due to a landslide that happened years ago it was cut off. Now it hides itself inside this mountain, giving home for thirteen dragon-shifters.

"Where are the rest of you, anyway?" I questioned, my temper lowering. "They're helping Mother prepare for tonight's feast. Food, beverages, decorations all that stuff," Mira groaned. She always hated feasts as no one paid her any attention. "It'll give you an opportunity to talk to Ferris!" Shirri exclaimed earning nods of approval from her two sisters. I shook my head. "I don't think it's that easy.."

They all rolled their eyes before Shirri and Mira walked towards the door. "Where are you going now?" I asked as Kaiia joined her sisters. "Joining Mother and helping her prepare for the feast. We'll be down in the garden, you can stop by if you want," and with that, they were off. I shrugged, having no where else to go.

Zaelyn

My friends were so far doing an okay job at making Ferris comfortable. I just couldn't wait for tonight. Then I'd be able to explain everything. I didn't want to spring everything on him when he still felt awkward around me.

I understood that Ferris was a hermit, having only one friend and staying in his castle the majority of the time which is why I invited my friends. I wanted to show him that he won't always be alone. Plus, he seems to like them.

I didn't bother asking for Fraener's permission. Screw him. I'm always asking for his permission, but maybe now I should pursue what I think is right. For once, that bastard should just think with his heart instead of his head! It's his cowardliness that's hurting Ferris!

Speaking of which, the cute fae was resting his chin in his palm, listening in on the stories Zuda had to share. His emerald eyes sparkled with fascination while he tugged a strand of his ivory hair with his fingers. I felt my heart skip a few beats. I haven't found someone that made me feel the same way I did with Frae. It's been hours and he still hasn't taken even a droplet of the drink I gave him. Musn't be a drinker.

It was getting late and the feast was just around the corner and I was dying to tell Ferris everything. I wanted to tell him about the pheromones, their effect on us two. I wanted to clarify that it wasn't his fault, that it was mainly ours. I haven't wanted to comfort someone like this before, which is why it was surprising.

"Ferris." I called out earning his attention easily. I absently grimaced at my stern tone. His small adam's apple bobbed as he gulped almost audibly. "A moment, please?" I said more softly, gesturing to the empty hallway. He nodded, getting up and maneuvering through the many bodies on the ground. I got up and followed the fae as they all wiggled their eyebrows.

"What is it?" He asked in an rushed and almost cold voice. I ignored it, instead snaking my arms around his smaller and bringing him impossibly close. "I'm so sorry," I muttered into his hair, feeling him squirm slightly underneath me. He stopped wriggling, letting out a small muffled sob breaking my heart just a little more. "Y-You're a fucking idiot! You made me feel like shit and worse!" The small fae cried into my chest, soaking my shirt with his tears. "These feelings are too confusing! I-I think that I like you but I'm so mad!"

I bit my lip, trying to stop the oncoming flow of apologies. I pulled him away and held him at arms length. "Me and Fraener will make up for it, I promise. Just give us sometime okay? We'll explain everything at dinner." I urged earning a nod. I sighed in relief. He looked so hurt it was almost unbearable. I risked it, and pressed a kiss to his forehead and luckily it was in my favour. "Before you go, can you promise me something?" He asked with his big doe eyes. I nodded. "Promise this isn't some elaborate prank. Promise me that you and Fraener aren't plotting some evil scheme?"

His words hung in the air for awhile as I registered what he just said. Did he really think I was that bad of a person? I couldn't help but feel slightly offended. "Of course we're not! Ferris, you can't keep judging us on our past selves. We've changed." I assured him. His shoulders slumped down, less tense and a small smile of satisfaction was present. "Dinner starts at seven, okay?"

He nodded as I took my hands off his shoulders and walked him back into the room, meeting all six of my friends curious eyes.
