Lucian

After he helped me put on his clothes he refilled the bowl with water then got a tiny sharp object a roll of thread. He made me sit on a stool while he prepared the stuff. "This is going to hurt, so try to keep still and not bite me?" He pleaded. I remained silent which was confirmation enough. He was squirmish at first but straightened up then once he stuck a thread through the needle and told me to turn my head.

I was extremely nervous but an odd sense of comfort was being provided by him. He stuck out his arm before he begun. "You can hold my hand if you want," he stammered. I looked at his big hand and reluctantly took it. There was a warm shock which put me at ease a little. He began pushing the needle into my skin, pain searing from just behind my weird ears. I tried my best to hold myself together but I began crying and I collapsed onto him. I squeezed his hand so hard I heard a crack as I sobbed into his shoulder. The pain was unbearable! Everytime he tugged on the thread it moved over my deep gash like salt in the wound. It stung like hell and I wanted him to stop but I knew it had to be done and my mind was too overwhelmed to think how.

It took several more minutes of me sobbing and soaking his shirt before he had sewn up my injury and eighteen more minutes of him apologizing while I wiped my tacky cheeks. He did his best to bandage me up. I pressed up against his chest for a solid few minutes while he cleaned the small amount of blood off my body. Maybe it was the amount of blood I lost but I was tired. There was still a stinging sensation from behind my ear and as I found, pain can be postponed by sleeping.

When I didn't get up I think he could tell I was sleepy. However, my stomach was restless and wanted more food. His chest rumbled and what came out of his mouth causes a warm feeling to pool in my own chest. I think it was laughing? I haven't heard it in a long time. "Even after all that you're still hungry?" He asked before getting up with me still in his arms and set me down on his bed. He gathered the bloodied rags and tools of torture before leaving the room yet again. I took the time to put on his shirt which smelt exactly like him.

He took his time, then returned with two bowls. They had the delicious stew, making my mouth water. He had spoons as well which I decided not to use while eating.

I ate my stew in less then ten seconds and smiled with a full belly. Zuda looked at me strangely but he also had a smile. "I'll take that as a compliment to my cooking.." he mumbled before using his spoon to eat the stew. I yawned, stretching how I normally would with my butt in the air. I laid down and stared up at him while he continued to eat. My face was acting strange and heated up while the rest of me stayed the same.

"You can't seriously want more. You've had two bowls!" He exclaimed making me frown. My stomach know no limits. A few seconds of my cold hard stare and he eventually handed me his bowl. I licked my lips again then began me third bowl. Once I was done and he had finished just simply staring at me just like I did he got up. I instinctively followed him but he gently pushed my back down onto the comfy surface. "I don't want you straining your shoulder too much, okay?"

I watched from here as he opened a hatch on the wall and pulled out a big soft object. He placed it on the floor with a big thud and began pulling soft sheets onto it. I think he was making me my own bed! "I want you to rest for now, okay?" He ordered and I shifted onto the smaller bed. It didn't feel the same as his.

"I'm gonna take a small nap then I have to do something." He told me before laying down on his own bed. His was bigger but I didn't mind mine. It was better then a cave floor.

I curled up in a ball and buried myself in the sheets. I still felt like it wasn't enough. I opened my eyes and enjoyed listening to his light breathing and the crackling of the fire in a different room. The whole place was warm while outside another blizzard was raging on. This man gave me food, warmth, shelter and then helped heal a wound- even if he didn't give me the wound in the first place.

The howling wind that managed to seep through the cracks and small holes of this home also added to the atmosphere. "Want... shift." I muttered quietly, just above a whisper but he surprising heard me. "If you shift then your stiches will come undone and your wound will reopen." He sighed. I huffed in annoyance. "Cold." I added. I cautiously turned, making sure not to put pressure on it. I could just about see him from down on the floor. Up there was warmer then down here.

I got up on wobbly legs and jumped onto his side. He grunted but wrapped his arms around me to keep me from falling anyway. He shifted so that there was room for me as I settled in. "Don't do that again!" He warned, seemingly out of breath. I felt bad. I didn't mean to harm him. "I normally don't do this with strangers but you seem different.." he admitted, looking down at me. I haven't had many encounters with other beings but he seemed different too. Normally I would have bitten the head off something that would have hurt me but he made me shift- something I haven't done in years simply by getting close to me.

I pressed myself impossibly close to him as if the heat between us would escape. I could feel my eyes becoming droopy and my minding beginning to drift as I fell asleep. Zuda's breathing slowed meaning he was about to fall alseep if he wasn't already. I snuggled closer to him as we both fell alseep.

His chest was warm, his food was tasty and his home was cozy. I could get used to this.

So! I hope you all enjoyed Zuda and Lucian's backstory as much as I enjoyed writing it! They're probably my favourite couple our of Ferris' friend group. Anyway, the actual story of Their Fae will continue next chapter!
