The middle aged women looked absolutely shocked to see Naruto. He's grown so much since shes last seen him. She didn't forget what Naruto did, but after moving and hearing the whole story from her son she was a little angry at her son for doing such a thing. That being said he is still her son, she will support him first. She's finding her way to accepting it, she really is.

She was coming to terms with her son being gay her husband was as well. They didn't hate their son they couldn't he was their only child and he means the world to them. They've come a long way accepting who he is and even talking to him about his personal life without prying. Well to them it wasn't prying.

"Naruto? Is that you, it's been ages since we've seen you" Sais' mother smiled kindly at the blonde boy who used to spend hours at her house.

"Sorry to bother you, is Sai home?" Naruto carefully asked unsure if Sais mother would even let Naruto see him.

Sais mother nodded her head and moved out of the way welcoming Naruto into her home. "Naruto, I'm very sorry for your loss. Your parents were very kind and welcoming. I'm sorry we couldn't attend the funeral" her sad eyes told Naruto that she also took the news rather poorly, they were close friends. They had to be Naruto was with Sai every second of his childhood.

Naruto smiled warmly at her his heart bursting with happiness, Naruto almost forgot how nice Sais mother truly is. She was always baking sweets and treating Naruto as if he were her own son. He loved it.

"Thank you" He walked farther into the house after taking off his shoes, and waited. "I'm really sorry about what happened in-"

"Don't act like such a stranger Naruto. What happened is in the past we forgive and we forget, Sai told us everything" Naruto swallowed a lump in his throat. He told them everything? How much is everything.

Naruto just nodded his head and followed Sais mom into the kitchen, "Sai is upstairs in his room. You can go up there but I just need to know" She gave Naruto a look "Are you together? Again"

Naruto shook his head quickly so she does know everything, "No. No we're not together" He said quickly dismissing the idea. Sais mother nodded her head and turned around to the pot on the stove. "Will you be staying for dinner?" She asked.

"I—I'm not sure" Naruto frowned when he heard himself stutter he wasn't aware of how nervous he was talking to Sais mother until now. Sais family was his second family and he can never forget the kindness they always and still give him.

Sais mom turned with a bright smile, "I'll make extra just in case" She looked at Naruto remembering how much the boy could eat when he was younger. Narutos heart burst with nothing but joy, he felt wanted.

"Now go upstairs I know you don't want to talk to an old lady like myself" She ushered Naruto out of the kitchen and smiled when Naruto told her she wasn't that old.

Naruto walked up the stairs and stopped when he reached the top, he has no idea what room is Sais. Naruto shrugged his shoulders all well. Naruto walked around passing two doors he knew they weren't Sais because he opened them and nothing was in them. Naruto turned his head to a door with pen scribbled on the door. That would be Sais room.

Naruto stood out his door, he wasn't sure if he should knock he probably should right. He doesn't even know how Sai is going to react. Naruto raised his hand and knocked on the door twice and waited. He heard footsteps approach the door and then saw the door swung open.

Naruto looked at Sai he was dressed in black sweatpants with a white short sleeve shirt on, he had ink all over his hands and some drops on the shirt. "Naruto?" Sai said as he stood there.
"What are you doing here?"

Naruto rubbed the back of his neck and stood there probably looking as awkward as he felt, "Uh. Can I come in?" Naruto asked and pointed in the room. Sai nodded his head and moved so Naruto could come in closing the door behind him.

Naruto sat on Sais bed and looked around the room he had pages of writing and pictures scattered some on the walls some on the ground. "Hey I'm sorry about not coming to visit you in the hospital. I didn't know if you wanted me to...." Sai muttered he walked over and sat as his desk.

Naruto nodded his head, "It's fine I wasn't there for that long anyway" Naruto started to pick at the bed comforter. "I wanted to come here and talk" Naruto took a deep breath, "I know I hurt you Sai and I'm sorry I really am. I was a stupid kid when we were younger and even back when I kissed you last year. I started this mess again and I'm sorry"

Sai sat and listened to Naruto apologize he nodded his head accepting the apology. Naruto was Sais first love he'll always have a soft spot for him but he's moved on, he has accepted Narutos feelings and he's proud of himself for moving on.

"I miss being your friend sometimes" Naruto muttered, it was such a simpler time back when they were kids and would joke. They understood each other like no other because they were going through the same thing. They knew that and they confided in each other, it was nice and Naruto misses that and he needs it right now.

Sai nodded he missed having someone to talk to as well. Naruto always listened and agreed and understood it was a friendship that was never supposed to turn to more, they both know that now. And now they just move on from the past and be here in the present.

"You want to be friends again? I've missed you too" Sai said his eyes shining.

"I don't want you to get the wrong idea....I don't want to be more than friends" Naruto muttered eyes closed hoping not to anger or upset Sai.

Sai laughed out loud, "I wasn't thinking that, Naruto I've moved on. Really I have" Sai smiled a real smile that told Naruto he wasn't lying. Naruto sighed in relief, that is so good.

"I'm really relieved" Naruto chuckled.

"Yeah, I can tell"

They both laughed and Naruto knew coming here was the right thing to do, now lets just see how Sai feels about Naruto unloading all his feelings and problems on to him.
