Naruto stared at the night sky it was beautiful it always was, the only thing that can be seen from everyone all over the world no matter how many times you look at it. It's beautiful.

Naruto and Sasuke sat side by side not touching just enjoying each others company, just listening to each others breathing and loving the fact that the other wants to be there.

Naruto can't remember a time he didn't have Sasuke well he can, but he doesn't always want to.

He can remember the memories with his mom he can think about them. He can remember the sad ones without huddling into a ball and wishing for death. He can remember the happy ones without shedding tears of loneliness.

He can sit here on this cliff staring at the lake and the dark sky that has never once betrayed him. He can sit here on this cliff and remember the times he never knew he needed to treasure. Naruto smiled a smile that no one will ever see because it's so dark.

"I think...I think I'm ready" Naruto muttered.

"Ready for what?" Sasuke asked barely listening to Naruto he was too lost in thoughts about the night sky, about the past.

"I want to see my mom and dads grave tomorrow"

Sasuke nodded his head "Are you sure?" Sasuke was a little nervous Naruto hasn't been to the cemetery in months and now he wants to go back. Naruto is still working through so many things, he's still healing and coming to terms with what he did.

"Will you come with me?" Naruto asked his eyes wandering over to the figure he couldn't see only hear.

"Yeah"

Naruto laid back onto the grass and stared at the stars Naruto couldn't tell you one thing about constellations. He doesn't know one thing about space, he doesn't care to. He only knows that no matter how many times he looks at the stars he can always feel at peace.

He always will.

"Do you like poetry?" Sasuke muttered staring at the reflection if the night sky on the lake. He never wanted to capture a moment more then this one.

"I haven't looked at poetry in a while. Why?"

"I asked if you liked it."

Naruto chuckled and turned to his side facing the spot he knows Sasuke is in, "I do like poetry"

"Good" Sasukes voice was a whisper that rode the small breeze so delicately you could barely hear it.

"Why?"

Sasuke shook his head "No reason"

Sasuke turned his head up to the sky and smiled Naruto likes poetry, he will remember that. Sasukes mom used to write poetry a while ago he hasn't heard one of her poems in forever and he would love to just sit down and listen to his mothers soft delicate voice recite him a poem.

He would love that. He will never get that again.

"We should head back" Naruto stood up and waited for Sasuke to do the same.

Sasuke dropped Naruto off and drove home, he parked him car in the driveway and walked inside. His mother was sitting at the dining room table with her husband, his father.

"Where have you been?" Fugaku asked.

"I was with some friends sorry didn't know it was so late" Sasuke respectfully replied and took his seat at the table next to his mother. There will always be an empty seat next to his father where Itachi will never sit at again.

"Who were you with?" Mikoto asked trying to keep a conversation going she always hated the silence, it never used to be like this. It used to be loud and exciting, there use to be a mess for her to pick up, dishes to wash.

There were always moments for her to be a mother, now there are hardly any.

"Suigetsu" Sasuke looked down at his hands, "I'll go wash up and head to bed. Goodnight" Sasuke waited for a nod from his father before starting his way to the upstairs so he can shower.

"Sasuke! Wait" Mikoto called.

Sasuke slowly turned around and looked at his mother and father, "Yes....?"

"We are going to a dinner this coming up Sunday. Would you like to join us?"

Sasuke pretended to be sad, he slumped his shoulders a bit and give a sad regretful face. "I have basketball practice till late we have a game Monday" Sasuke said and gave his parents a nod. He walked upstairs and grabbed some clothes.

Sasuke walked into the bathroom and closed the door, Sasuke took his shirt off and looked down at his wrists.

"Why don't you talk to me?!" Sasuke recalled the words Naruto once said to him. This was before the suicide attempt. This was after his brother died. When he had no one but himself and a razor.

Sasuke was in a bad place he was lost, he needed something he needed pain. A pain that brought him pleasure something to make him feel, something to make him feel like this was his. It was his, he caused the pain and he loved it.

He hasn't cut his wrist in months almost a year. It started out as small cuts barley noticeable but it bled, it bled small bubbles of blood that would pour out. It was enough at first, until it wasn't and the cuts got deeper and deeper.

Sasuke never thought about suicide not once, but when Naruto did it. When Naruto tried to kill himself he threw ever razor he had out. He felt ashamed to have even done it, he felt like he could never be there for Naruto because Naruto went through something he can't imagine.

And he can't ever imagine getting to the place where you tell yourself you are better off not in this world.

Sasuke shook the thoughts away he was better now, Naruto made him smile and college was right around the corner.

Sasuke striped himself and got into the shower. He wasn't lying he really does have basketball practice just not a long one. He has no game Monday he just doesn't want to go to some stupid business party.
