Messy without a Doubt

Tsunade

Naruto sat at the table scared, his grandmothers face was so red and she looked so angry. She wouldn't even look at Naruto.

"I'm sorry, I just needed some air" Naruto said with narrowed eyes at his grandmother why was she always arguing with him when they're together.

"You should have told me!" She yelled.

Naruto gripped the edge of the table and frowned "You wouldn't have let me go" he hissed, anger building up in him.

"Because I can't trust you! I don't want you to worry about you hurting yourself every time you leave" Tsunade spat. Narutos entire body twisted with nothing but pain.

"You can trust me I'm not going to hurt myself!"

Tsuande shook her head back and forth not believing a word she was hearing, "I can't trust your words."

Naruto wiped the tears away from his eyes quickly, his chest hurt. He shook his head and said nothing.

"Do you know what its like to look at you?!" Tsunade yelled at a angry and sad Naruto. Naruto just shook his head his chest growing with uncertainty.

"Every time I look at you I see you laying on the floor, blood everywhere an empty pill bottle next to you. You almost died! You my grandson, my sons, son. You almost took your life. Do you know how that makes me feel?"

Naruto nodded his head and opened his mouth "I know" he whispered. Tsunades hands hit the table with such force it shook the stack of dishes sitting in the sink.

"No you don't! You were dead. You died. You have no idea how I felt, I can't even look at you anymore." Tsunade shook her head and looked Naruto in the eyes, "It was selfish of you to do that"

Naruto stood up head shaking back and forth his whole body felt like it was just hit by a truck, he gasped out loud and closed his eyes. He thought maybe she would understand, he though his grandmother of all people would look at from his perspective. How he felt, how he feels. It matters! He wouldn't be the person he is now if he didn't try.

Why couldn't this be a wake up call for her too! She needs to change her ways just as much.

"You don't mean that" Naruto whispered his voice shaking his eyes filling up with tears.

Tsunade gave him a look her frown returning to her face "Yes I do. You weren't thinking about me, you weren't thinking about anyone. You look me in the eyes everyday like nothing happened, you walk around like nothing happened. Something did happen!"

"I was thinking about myself! Why can't you try? Why couldn't you have tried harder, I needed someone to look me in the eyes and tell me everything was okay! You couldn't, you wouldn't. You still wont!"

"What was I supposed to do! You don't talk to me!"  Tsuande yelled. Naruto stood up his throat hurt his voice slowly dying but he wasn't done.

"Its hard! It's hard to talk about and you don't understand. You're never home, I'm always alone! Even now when I'm trying to heal and move on. You. You still don't make an effort" Naruto cried he hid his face in his shirt.

"Stop saying I don't understand!" Tsunade screamed her face red with anger. Naruto moved towards her.

"You don't!"

He didn't want to look at Tsunade he didn't want her to see him and he didn't want to see her shaking her head like she does. She doesn't understand she never will and right now Naruto just needs her to talk to him. He just wants some guidance its all hes ever wanted.

Naruto's hands rested at his sides shaking uncontrollably, hes never been this angry and upset. She isn't listening. She never is.

"I don't want you seeing Sasuke anymore, I want you home after school everyday in your room with the door open. Until you can look me in the eyes and tell me what you did was wrong. You have learned nothing and you will not be going anywhere until you learn what you did was wrong." Tusnade hissed at Naruto.

"You can't do that!" Naruto screamed, "You can't make me stay in this house forever!"

Tsunade turned her head and glared at Naruto, "I can do what I want and you will listen I am in charge of you"

"You don't care, you can say what you want. I wont listen" Naruto gritted out his voice low.

"Stop saying I don't care! I do. I worry about you more than you know." Tsunade calmed herself down a bit but the anger was still brewing. "Do you know what you did to me?" Tsunade whsipered.

"I can't even sleep at night without thinking I will wake up and see you dead, this pain and worry is killing me. I am so tired of worrying." Tsuande sat at the table her veins pulsing with anger. Her voice was low and shaky and Naruto was waiting for her to say how she feels.

"Say it, Say it!" Naruto yelled.

"I'm tired of worrying about you!" She yelled, Naruto took a step forward shaking his head.

"Say what you're thinking grandma. Tell me what I already know, say it!"

Tsunade got up from the table and looked at Naruto, "You never cared about me I'm just a promise you need to keep to my dead parents."

The thought of Minato Narutos father was present in her head, "I always wonder how my dad grew up, because he was nothing like you"

Tsunade couldn't take it anymore, the sleepless nights the constant worry. "Tell me how much it would be easier if I wasn't here, if I wasn't here you wouldn't have to deal with me. It would be easier if I was never here. Maybe then my dead parents wouldn't be sitting in the ground"

Tsunade was losing her patients "Don't talk to me like that" Tsunade hissed.

"Why?" Naruto asked, "Why should I treat you with respect when you don't treat me with any"

"I do"

Naruto shook his head, a sly smirk on his face "You don't. Say it to my face"

Tsunades eyes widened when she saw what Naruto was doing, smirking as if this was a joke as if her feelings were a joke. She was done. "It would be easier if you weren't here, I wouldn't be dealing with any of this!"

Narutos heart broke, his entire body went stiff, his eyes poured tears as he swung his head back and laughed, he's never felt worse in his life. He should be dead.

Tsunade did something she never thought she would, she brought her hand up to Naruto.

slap.

Naruto held his face as new fresh tears came out, the kitchen was silent the whole house was silent the sound echoed, Tsunade stayed still stiff. She didn't mean it, she snapped. She would never.

"I am ruined and you can never fix me." Naruto kept his hand on his hurt cheek, "don't think for a second that you can ever get the old me back that person is gone. I've changed, now its your turn" Naruto cried as he stepped out of the kitchen.

Naruto cried, and cried his throat burned his head hurt and he just wanted to sleep. Naruto grabbed his phone and ran out of the house shutting the door with a loud slam.

He ran into the road and typed in Sasukes name and dialed the number, he shakily put the phone up to his ear and tried to calm himself and get his voice ready to speak. Sasuke didn't pick up, Naruto pressed end and screamed to the dark empty sky. He walked down the road his hands in his pockets he made his way to his new favorite place.

Naruto sat on the edge of the cliff staring at the large lake, sometimes people were out here on boats sometimes they were lighting fireworks or sending paper lanterns into the sky, its really a pretty peaceful place. Naruto only told one person about this place. Funny how he found it while riding bikes with Kiba.

"Naruto"

"Sasuke" Naruto whispered as best as he could, his content state was slowly crumbling one wrong move and he would break.

"Are you okay? Whats wrong?" Sasuke asked and just like that Naruto was in tears sobbing and huddling himself together.

Sasuke quickly sat down next to the small boy and pulled him into his chest Naruto wrapped his arms around Sasukes waist and cried into his chest. Sasuke sat there his shirt becoming more and more wet as he rubbed Narutos back.
