Messy without a Doubt

Naruto and Sasuke looked at each other, Sasuke could see it in Narutos eyes he doesn't have the courage to start the conversation.

"Tsunade" Sasuke said and looked at Narutos grandmother she was wiping away the smeared mascara and eyeliner. She looked at Sasuke and frowned.

"I didn't want Naruto talking to you" She looked at Naruto and smiled sadly "I guess it was the wrong to do. I can see how much you help him." She reached over the table and squeezed Sasukes hand smiling at him.

Sasuke cleared his throat and retracted his hand, "Naruto has somethings he wants to tell you." Sasuke looked at Naruto and squeezed his leg reassuringly.

Naruto nodded and exhaled, "Grandma I stopped taking my medication" Naruto blurted out he closed his eyes and put his head in Sasuke shoulder.

Tsunade shook her eye and closed her eyes, "Naruto do I need to get you a new therapist or something? Do you want different medication? Tell me what I can do."

Naruto looked at Tsunade and shrugged he really didn't know what to do, a new therapist would be nice though. "I do want a new therapist" he whispered.

Tsunade nodded her head, "Naruto if you ever just want to talk. Even if you don't want me to reply if you just want me to listen. I will." Tsunade stood up and hugged Naruto as he sat in the chair.

"I owe you both an apology, Sasuke thank you for helping Naruto" she smiled at Sasuke and ruffled his hair. Sasuke smiled.

"I'll try and get more days off and I'll try working different hours. I will be home for dinner" Tsunade promised Naruto. Naruto nodded his head, even if it wasn't every night he knew that she would be home most nights and that's what matters.

"You're more than welcome to stay the night Sasuke" Tsunade left the kitchen with one last apology for Naruto. Tsunade still can't tell if this conversation opened up a new pathway for the two, she can't say if she's going to stop worrying because she wont. She will try, Naruto comes first.

Naruto turned to Sasuke and jumped on to him, Sasuke hugged the blonde back and chuckled softly when Naruto rubbed his head against Sasukes chest like a cat.

"That went better than I thought. Thank you Sasuke" Naruto cried putting his face in the crook of Sasukes neck.

Sasuke wrapped his arms around Naruto and nodded, there were no words because really Naruto never ever needed to thank Sasuke for helping him. He would always help him.

"Lets go to bed" Naruto yawned and got off Sasuke, Sasuke followed Naruto up the stairs and flopped on the bed. Naruto quietly shut his bedroom door and ran over to the bed jumping on the bed and almost crushing Sasuke.

Naruto turned on his side and looked at Sasuke, he raised his hand and pushed a stray lump of hair out of Sasuke face, he likes looking at Sasukes dark eyes.

"Kiss me" Naruto whispered closing his eyes. Not even seconds later Sasukes lips were touching Narutos. Sasuke grabbed Narutos waist bringing him closer, Narutos hands found their way into Sasukes hair tugging on it every now and then.

They both pulled away and smiling at each other Naruto set his hand on Sasukes warm cheek. "I love you" he whispered.

Sasuke closed his eyes loving the feeling of Narutos hand, Narutos lips, his body, his eyes. The way he speaks is always so calm and quiet when he's with Sasuke. Everything about him was perfect to Sasuke, even the scars. He couldn't imagine not being there for the blonde, not helping him. He couldn't imagine a life without Naruto. If Naruto never moved to Konoha they would have never met and Sasuke would have never experienced this.

"I love you too" Sasuke whispered capturing Narutos lips once more.

Naruto laid his head on Sasukes chest listening to his soft breaths and his calm heart beat. Naruto looked over at the door when it creaked open he slowly sat up and looked at his grandmother.

"Did I wake you up?" She whispered quietly walking into the room. Naruto shook his head and sat up as much as he could Sasukes arms was wrapped around his waist.

"No" he whispered back unsure if she could see him through the small light from the hall light seeping in through the door cracks.

"I just came to say goodnight"

"Goodnight" Naruto whispered rubbing his eyes, he was tired.

"I love you Naruto, I'm sorry if I don't say it enough"

"I'm sorry too, I didn't realize how much I hurt you" Naruto whispered his voice cracking. He was going to cry again.

"I'll see you in the morning" She kissed the top of Narutos head and walked out quietly shutting the door behind her.

Naruto sniffled and tried to wipe away the tears away he couldn't do it fast enough they just kept falling. Naruto grabbed a pillow and put it against his face trying to muffle the sobs. He didn't want to wake up Sasuke.

Sasuke quickly sat up and tightened his grip on Narutos waist, he cautiously grabbed the pillow from Narutos grasp.

"I'm sorry, d-did I wake you up" Naruto tried to steady his voice but failed.

"Are you okay? Tell me whats wrong"

Naruto looked at Sasuke, "Sasuke I don't want you to leave me, I don't want to lose you"

"You're not going to lose me" Sasuke promised his voice quiet.

"I make so many mistakes. I don't know why, I hate them I just make so many"

"I make mistakes too" Sasuke pulled Naruto and rested his chin on Narutos shoulder.

"I don't think I can ever love someone like I love you. You don't know how much I need you" Naruto rested his head against Sasukes chest, "But I don't want you to think you need to be here to keep me alive. If you want to leave, I wont hurt myself. I promise I won't ever hurt myself again."

"Look at me Naruto" Naruto lifted his head up and looked at Sasuke "I'm not staying with you because I think you're going to end your life without me. I love you. That's why I'm with you, I will always love you."

Naruto smiled brightly his eyes shining but not with tears, "Thank you. Thank you for loving me" Naruto whispered his voice slowly trailing off. His eyes closing his face held a content smile. Naruto fell asleep on Sasuke, Sasuke holding him protectively.

They both fell asleep smiling.
