"Always running his mouth, yeah, he's got a few scars"
~ Bishop Briggs "Baby"
Monday rolled around and Chance had thrown on a grey jumper tee that she tucked into her high waisted black skinny jeans that she matched with her black timberlands. Over the top, she threw on a tweed coat with sleeves that ended below her elbow and the bottom ending at her knees.
She and Bella had just left the house, making sure Bobby had all the essentials he may need and locking up. Bella looked absolutely gutted that rain was still drizzling down and down of the puddles that littered the floor were frozen solid.
Charlie had just pulled up in Bella's truck and hopped out, perfectly dodging an icy puddle that sat on the ground below the door.
Bella says something as she steps forwards, slipping down on some ice, pulling a large and inconvenient smile onto Chance as she made the same mistake, leaving her giggling cutely on the floor and Charlie rushed over to them to help them up.
He got Bella up first, asking how she was before pulling up Chance as Bella made another comment. "Are you ok?" Charlie signed to Chance who nodded, a grin still pressed against her lips.
Charlie and Bella had a quick conversation before Charlie headed over to his police cruiser. He began o sign to Chance as he spoke to Bella; "I'll be late for dinner. I'm heading down to Mason County. A security guard at the Grisham Mill got killed by some kind of animal." He explained, Chance merely nodded but Bella looked shocked at the horrid news.
Charlie sighed and said something to Bella before signing to Chance. "Thought I'd lend a hand" she gave him a proud looked before climbing into Bella's truck, hopping around any ice patches. Chance watched with her head in her arms that was against the dashboard as Bella gestured to the tyres, saying something to Charlie that Chance translated to be along the lines of a thank you before she jumped in and reverse out, Charlie following suite and heading in opposite directions to one another.
Bella's truck had pulled up to school before the Cullen's had even arrived, however all of Bella's friends were there so she just stuck with them as she had biology with Bella and Eric.
Eric almost completely ignored her apart from a small wave for hello and began sweet talking Bella, despite her obviously uncomfortable face.
They had to take a quick detour as Eric needed to grab something out of his locker before they continued their trek to the biology classroom.
When they entered, Bella got held up by Mike who appeared beside her magically, leaving Chance to quickly escape. A large grin split on her face when she saw Edward's crooked grin staring back at her.
She practically skidded up to him and threw her bag onto her desk. Chance had acquired his number on Friday via Alice who knew Chance was worried and she had been secretly texting him so Bella wouldn't complain about it.
Edward stood and hugged the girl, though it would have been better if he stayed seated as she was a lot smaller than him. Bella glared over in jealously as she watched them pull apart and Edward sign something to her.
"How are you?" He asked the brunette as she sat down behind him. She shrugged lightly glancing at her sister.
Edward caught what she was looking at and shook his head in mild amusement, watching as she quickly signed something to him. "Be nice to my sister. She's been stressing about why you don't like her ever since you left for a while. She's fuming." Chance gave him a playful eyebrow as he shrugged as if it was nothing before she lightly pushed his shoulder so he was facing the front with one hand as she pulled out her tablet with the other.
