"Cold nights and the Sunday mornings
On your way and out of the grey"

~ George Ezra "Hold My Girl"

It had been four months since the Cullen's had left and Chance was happy to say that she felt worse than before, she had picked up a lot of anger issues and spent almost every night round Paul's house or with Emily. Charlie barely had time to worry about Chance as Bella hadn't moved much in the time they left.

In this time, Chance had transferred to the Rez high school and helped Jared meet his Mate Kim, who had a massive crush on him.

Charlie wasn't happy about her switching schools but realised that she needed to in order to get better and therefore fought her case for two months before they allowed her to switch.

The amount of sightings there had been of the wolf pack had grown, people claiming that they saw large bears pacing the Forrest with menacing growls. In truth, it was just the pack training and trying to calm Chance down, who's emotions were in constant turmoil. She was amazing at keeping them under control but at least a few times a month, Sam would tell her to let them out and they get spotted by hunters. It was also that now the Cullen's had left, the wolf pack had more land to protect and cared less in the humans spotted them and more about their safety.

Chance was getting ready to leave her house with a fat backpack for clothes hanging off her back and a loose black button up shirt on that reached her knees.

After she clipped Bobby's lead on, Chance left the house and saw something that took her by surprise. "That's it, you're going to Jacksonville to live with your mother." Charlie growled out to Bella, slamming her car door shut. Chance watched in mild curiously.

"What? Why?" Bella asked, completely shocked. Chance wasn't, she saw this coming from a mile away.

"I just - don't know what to do any more. You don't act like someone left you; more like someone died." Charlie explained gently, like he didn't know how to put it. Looking away, Bella frowned. Chance knew what she was thinking - that it did feel like that. "Chance is handling herself amazingly. She's talking to people, trying to have fun. She may not be at home pretty much ever anymore but she's actually trying Bella. You're just stuck in your room acting like the world is ending." Bella glanced up and saw Chance and glared at her.

Chance gave her sister a confused look and busied herself with Bobby. "I'm not leaving Forks." Bella stayed as if it was obvious.

"Bells." Charlie begged, "that bastards not coming back." He pointed out, hoping she'd get the hint.

Bella sighed dejectedly. "I know." She admitted and Chance scoffed quietly to herself, not understanding how she still wanted to stay with him if she knew he wasn't returning for her. At least she got a goodbye.

"It's not normal, this behavior. And frankly, it's scaring the hell outta me, and your mother." Charlie made his voice gentler, "Go to Jacksonville, Baby. Make some new friends."

Bella frowned even more and watched as Chance began to walk off, "I like my old friends." Bella tried, seeing her sister disappear down the road.

"You never see them anymore." Charlie pointed out.

"I do, too. In fact, I'm... um... Jessica and I are going to Port Angeles tomorrow. Shopping." Bella knew as soon as she said that; it wasn't convincing. Bella Swan hated shopping.

Charlie was suspicious. "You hate shopping." He pointed out.

Bella was quick to make up an excuse. "That's how great of a friend I am.." Charlie must have bought this because he gave her a proud look.
