"Crowded town or silent bed
Pick a place to rest your head and"

~ George Ezra "Hold My Girl"

Sighing, Chance followed the rest of the pack as they trailed after Jacob - according to him, something had happened and they needed to deal with it as a pack.

He had awoken her from his sofa with wide eyes earlier that night and threw her a pair of shorts, a shirt and a plaid shirt, telling her to get dressed and that the rest of the pack were getting ready to leave.

"Where are we going?" Chance had asked him, brushing through her hair with her fingers quickly after the black vest top shirt had ruffled her messy hair even more. "Jake, what's going on?"

"Something has happened." He had stated before quietly exiting the house to wait for the others.

As they broke into the clearing, Chance glared at the sight of her sister, she had made the mistake of leaving Bobby at home and left her plaid shirt around her waist, giving Bella the perfect view of her pack brand in the dying light.

"What the hell have you done?" Paul demanded, also spotting Bella standing there beside her truck. Already the two of them were shaking with unreasonable anger, something Bella had never seen her sister do as she watched her hands shake frantically and her head bow in utter frustration.

Alarmed at his tone, Jacob jumped up to explain, "i didn't tell her!" He rushed out, "you'd know if I did!" He pointed out, but the two hotheaded wolves still disagreed, taking a few steps forwards each.

"She's here. Isn't she?" Paul pointed out with a low growl, scaring Bella slightly.

Suddenly, Sam's voice rung out from behind Chance, obviously trying to diffuse the situation. "Bella, there's nothing to see here. You should go home." He suggested calmly, keeping a wary eye on the two shifters who were still shaking madly.

Some confidence sparked inside the Swan girl and she took a small step forwards, "Not until you tell me what you've done to Jacob." She demanded before her eyes landed on Chance who was glaring at Jacob as if he had ruined her entire life, "and Chance." She added on, not seeing the girl in question's eyes snapping onto her before going directly back to Jacob.

Upon hearing this, Paul stormed forwards, "what we done?" He demanded angrily, heading directly towards Bella. Chance was pissed, but not enough to risk Paul hurting Bella, so she marched forwards and latched into his arm, yanking him back slightly as Jacob jumped in front of Bella in defence.

Chance saw Jacob's thankful look towards her and she let her face harden, and her body shake harder as she felt the anger consume her.

"Both if you calm down-." Sam tried again, only to get cut off by Jacob's sharp voice. Chance untied her plaid shirt, already knowing what was going to happen, she turned to Embry and threw it at him with perfect aim and he dropped into a bush where they had a bag filled with clothes for them all - one of many they had spread around their territory.

"Sam, she knows about the bloodsuckers." Jacob started and was shocked to hear an animalistic snarl escape Chance's lips at this. "She's been on the inside, she can help-."

Paul barked out a disbelieving laugh, "like a leech lover's going to help us." At this, Chance snapped and she shoved Paul angrily, fighting back a shift. Paul turned to her with sorry, but relentless eyes, she understood, but she was also on the verge of shifting.

"Watch what you call them." Jacob snapped angrily, confusing Bella slightly before she realised he was also referring to Chance. This made Chance and Paul both worse as they looked close to convulsing.
