"My baby's got a fucked up head
Doesn't matter 'cause he's so damn good in bed"~ Bishop Briggs "Baby"
The next morning, Bella sat at her computer, Chance behind her, now able to walk around the house with only a slight ache, but still a headache.
She was currently watching Bella search up Quileute legends from Jacob's tribe and watched as her sister preordered a book from her favourite bookstore; Thunderbird & Whale.
Today, Chance decided to wear a mustard yellow jumper with her chequered dress and black tights with boots, she tied her hair up into a low bun as she began to feel sweat form on her forehead, which she wiped off quickly.
Today, the sun was out and most people were in shorts and vest tops, but the Cullen's didn't show up today, Chance knew that their parents always pulled them out for hiking and camping so Bella decided to invite her sister to sit with her after Jessica told her about the Cullen's hot day activities.
Bella had learned a lot of sign language and was now able to have basic conversations with Chance. The girl sat awkwardly beside Bella as Angela bounds towards them and began to chat excitedly to her two friends about something unknown to Chance.
Upon noticing Chance, Angela reached down and patted Bobby's head who was casually laying between Chance's feet before pulling out a notepad and handing Chance a small note.
Confused, Chance read through the note and let her eyebrows crease before giving the girl a confused look. Curiously, Bella glanced over at the note and informed Angela that Chance would love to go prom dress shopping with herself, Angela and Jessica.
Chance had forgotten about the prom but knew she wasn't going to go, she never liked going to proms and has never been to one, nor was she planning on starting to.
Bella knew that Chance had never actually went out with friends, only ever with Charlie or herself. Whenever Jacob visited, they just stuck to either one of their houses so Bella decided that if she was to have a social life, as was Chance. Chance glared at her sister before shrinking back to her shy self.
They continued their conversation, Angela asking why Bella and Chance were not going to prom. "It's a family thing." Bella defended herself, "and Chance doesn't exactly want to go because she can't hear the music like we can. She thinks she wouldn't enjoy herself as much." Angela nodded solemnly, but still had a grin on her face, knowing that she was going to become friends with Chance.
That afternoon after school, Chance and Bella sat on a fluffy footstool, watching as Angela and Jessica emerged from the changing rooms for the fifth time in new dresses.
Chance watched as Bella pulled out a mapquest for the bookstore and sighed. When she noticed the two girls dressed for prom, Chance got up and picked up a pen and piece of paper that Jessica had provided for her.
As she quickly scribbled a note about how cute they both looked, some frat boys who were obviously drunk and heading for the bar stared at the girls who turned in embarrassment.
After handing the girls their notes, Angela thanked her with a large grin and Jessica winked playfully at her before frowning down at how low cut the dress was.
After some small conversations and a quick goodbye, Bella had dragged Chance out of the store and let her sister lead her towards the bookstore. They had both ordered a book that day, Chance got on European History for her school work and Bella one on Quileute legends.
After they left the bookstore, Bella offered to put Chance's book into her bag before thumbing through her own, causing Chance to snap it shut with a playful roll of the eyes before putting it into her sister's bag as she observed the area.
