Ride or die every night every day"

~ Bishop Briggs "Baby"

When Chance awoke the next day, she was in agony, her arm was causing her pain, her head had a loud thudding in it and she felt as if she'd never be able to move again.

When Bella came up into her room to wake her, she immediately ran down to tell Charlie that she wasn't well enough to go into school before leaving herself with a small frown and the intention to tell the Cullen's about Chance's sudden illness.

Charlie had decided to take the morning off in order to make sure the Chance was ok and also so he could spend more time with her.

"What's been happening recently?" He asked her with a small smile, sitting across from her on her sofa. They were currently watching the game, but had paused it so they could catch up a bit. "Anything exciting? Boys?"

Chance couldn't help but roll her eyes as her pale and frail body shivered slightly. Charlie sent her a worried look which she shrugged off. "No. Nothing new." She informed him with a small smile.

With a frown, he picked up his phone and strolled out of the room, calling someone. What she didn't know is that Charlie had actually called Dr. Carlisle Cullen to ask if he could send one of his children down to help cheer Chance up and to make her feel better. He knew Chance was lying and hoped that one of them could maybe pull it out of her.

After Carlisle promised to send someone to the house, the two said their goodbyes and hung up. When Charlie entered the living room again, Chance was almost asleep, her face whiter than snow with large drops of sweat beading on her forehead despite her being ice cold.

"Chance!" Charlie called, knowing that she couldn't hear him, "oh baby, I'm here, try and get some sleep." What he didn't know is that Chance in fact could hear him. His voice was muffled, far away even, but she could still hear it, and it hurt her, causing a loud groan to erupt in her throat before her hearing disappeared once more.

After she had passed out, Charlie carefully carried her up the stairs and carefully placed her on her bed before leaving the room with a sad smile to ring the hospital again in hopes for any answers to appear to her.

Meanwhile at school, Bella was struggling to gain the courage to tell the Cullen's about Chance and how she was in a terrible condition. What surprised her was Edward actually coming up to her.

The two had a weird conversation about why Edward thinks it was best that they weren't friends, despite wanting to be her friend.

"Oh, I almost forgot, Chance is feeling really ill. Like she can barely walk so Charlie kept her off." Bella called awkwardly.

Edward turned with a crooked grin. "Yeah, were going to visit her." Bella gave him an awkward nod before going back to her salad.

A few hours later, after Bella had left the house after she came home from school, Chance was curled up in her bed with Bobby beside her watching Clue for the fifth time in three days, her head still holding a dull thud.

Her eyes glanced up from the subtitles as she saw movement out of the corner of her eye. Alice, Jasper and Rosalie were standing there with small smiled - apart from Jasper who wore a straight face.

"Hi." She signed to them, furrowing her eyebrows. "I don't mean to sound a bit rude but what are you doing here?"

"Visiting." Alice signed back with some help from Edward. Nodding, Chance patted the bed beside her, ignoring the painful ache of her arm.
