Umga 1: I'm Still Young

(Umji's POV)

After our meeting in the Starbucks, I go home immediately because my Mom, told me so, she said that were going to me some people, so I go home.

When I reach the house Mom is waiting outside with Dad.

"Hurry up, let hop in the car" Dad said, so me and Mom do what Dad told us to do so.

Dad started the engine.

"Dad, di pa ako nakakapagpalit" I said

"It's fine" Dad, so di na ako nagsalita at nag ayos ng sarili.

Nandito na kami sa isang restaurant at pumasok kami dun tapos agad naglakad si Dad papunta sa isa sa mga table dun, sumunod naman kami sakanya ni Mommy, at pinaupo kami ni Daddy.

Nagulat ako nang nakilala ko kung sino ang nasa harapan ko, it was Suga, Jin's bestfriend.

"Oh Kim's are here" the woman said who's sitting beside Suga

"Sorry we're late" Dad

"It's fine, let's eat" the man said

So that's it, we eat, while my parents and I think Suga's parents talking about their business, as if I know about that, and I think Suga too.

When we finish our food, our parents still talking about the business. I was so bored and I think Suga too, and I know it when he stood up and tell something.

"I think, we don't have any business here" tapos lumapit siya sakin. "So can we go now?" Suga, tapos hinigit niya ako patayo. Nagtinginan naman yong parents namin.

"Okay" Suga's Dad said

At ayon nga kinaladkad niya ako papuntang parking lot at pinasakay ako sa kotse niya.

Nang makasakay na kami sa kotse niya ay nakauli lang kami dun, kaya tinanong ko siya.

"Where are we going?"

"Where do you want to go?" he ask, then he started the engine before he look at me.

"I want to go to the park that has fountain" I said and give him a wide smile. He also smile at me and said.

"Okay then" at pinaandar na ang kotse niya

Habang nasa byahe ay iniisip ko kungbakit ako isinama nina Mommy, pati rin yong pagsama ng parents ni Suga sakanya. I already have a thought in my mind, but I don't want to over react that's why I'm not concluding something. I look at Suga, he's so serious on driving, I think we have the same thought.

Maya maya lang ay nakarating na kami sa park, at may fountain nga dito sa pinagdalhan sakin ni Suga.

"Sit there, I will just buy some food" Suga, at inalis na siya sa harap ko, ako naman ay umupo na dun sa bench kung saan itinuro ni Suga.

I will admit it, the thought that bothers me is that our parents arrange our marriage. Yes, I like Suga, the two years that we spend together with our friends, make me fell fo him little by little. But I know that he have a girlfriend, and I don't want to ruin their relationship just because of our parents arrange us.

I'm in the middle of thinking, when Suga appear in front of me and giving me a burger and an in can soft drink, he sat beside me, I look at him again, I think something bothers him that's why I ask him.

"Suga, what are you thinking?"

"Nothing. How about you? I think something is bothering you" Suga

"I just thinking, if why our parents bought us together with them"

"Actually, my parents tell me why?"

"Why?" I ask him immediately

"Because, they want us to be husband and wife, in short they arrange our marriage" I think so.

"But you have a girlfriend, right?" Tumango lang siya. "So why did you agree to this marriage?" he look at me then he let out a big sigh.

"I can't disobey my parents, that's why"

"But still, you're in a relationship, and I don't want to ruin your relationship just because of this marriage" I was about to cry but I already fix myself. He was about to tell something. But he's phone rang. He answer it.

"Hello, Wendy" it's his girlfriend. "I'm with someone right now" honest boyfriend. "Yeah, I fetch you later, yeah bye. I love you" what a beautiful relationship, how can I ruin it? He hanged up the phone.

"I want to go home" I said

"Okay I will send you home" Suga, we go to his car. I put my head at the window as I told him my address.

Nang makarating kami sa bahay agad akong bumaba sa kotse at pumasok sa bahay at buti naman nandoon na sina Mommy at Daddy. I talk to them immediately.

"Mom, Dad, answer honestly. Did you arrange me and Suga?" I ask them

"Oh, you know already? So no need to hide it anymore" Dad. "Yes, we are, and you can't change our mind anymore"

"But Dad, I'm still young" I didn't tell them the real reason, because if I say that the reason is Suga has a girlfriend (which is true), Suga will be the one who will blame, that's why I think of other reason.

"But we can't stop it, the date of your wedding is already planned, so this wedding is can't be cancel" Dad, I want to tell something but he didn't let me. "Tapos na ang usapan na to, go to you room" I can't stand to answer my Dad that's why I obey what he said.

When I reach my room, I started to cry, not because our wedding was still on. But because I can ruin a beautiful relationship just because of this marriage. And I also know that he can't love me the same way as I love him.
