Chapter 36

James pov

Me and Darcy walked hand in hand each carrying one of the twins on our hip. Alicia's fingers tangled through my hair, repositioning my bandana.

It's only been a week since mine and Darcy's date, I've had time off work, me and the boys have put the album in hold, well, they told me they were putting it in hold for a while to have a break, in not sure exactly why but I have a feeling it has something to do with Dougie.

"Babe?"

"Yeah, sorry what?" I snapped out of my trail of thought to see Darcy staring expectantly at me.

"I said, how about we have everyone over tonight for a movie night, it would be nice to catch up with everyone and I thought maybe me and Ellie could meet."

I smiled at how easy she overcame things, she always wanted to bring everyone together, trying to work things out when she had no idea of what was going on,

"Yeah, that's sounds great, will Dougie be okay with me being there?"

"He'll have to be, if not he knows where the door is he's been there enough times."

Her comment make my skin crawl at the unknown of her intention of that reply, did he know because of the kids of because of her?

Dougie's pov

Tonight had to go well. I had to keep myself together and keep my emotions bottled up until it was the right time to tell the boys how I felt.

I was nervous about Darcy and Ellie meeting, I don't know why but it just scared me the fact that they could hate eachother and that would have a big effect on mine and Ellie's relationship.

I clung my arm around Ellie's waist the whole time keeping her close and pulling her into my lap in the living room. So far it was going well, things were awkward but that was to expected.

"Hey, Darcy I was just wondering if you needed any help with anything?" her voice was sweet just like her gesture but I hated the idea of her going off in her own with Darcy, what would they talk about? it also didn't help that we were the first ones here, the rest of them weren't die for another 20 minutes, which meant I was left in the living room alone with James.

In that moment me feet were the most interesting things if ever seen, however I became restless under his glare.

"Doug, don't fuck this up tonight you more than anyone knows how much this means to her, she just wants one night with us all together, all to get along."

My head snapped up to see his sharp glare scanned across my body as if to cut me right in half. "I know. I am the only person who really knows, so don't pretend we both do." I spat the words out of my mouth the words burning the top of my tongue.

Darcy's pov

The night had been going really well, everyone had been getting on. James and Dougie hadn't exactly bonded but they hadn't attacked each other which was more than expected.

Ellie was really nice, she was good with the twins aswell, which made me so relieved because seeing her with them made me realise she wasn't trying to take over me, their mum.

I had barely seen James but when I finally got the chance to sit down and out a movie in after the kids had been out to bed he became a big fan of PDA. His hands ran up and down my body barely touching me, leaving my skin tingle under his light touch. Hot, open mouth kissed left on me neck, hidden behind the darkness of the room and the comfort of the blanket we shared.

"Do you mind?" Dougie's loud voice boomed as he flicked the lights on.

"Doug, calm down." Ellie rushed his side shooting me an apologetic look.

"No, they're all over each other what is your problem, you disgust me the pair of you." I scoffed at his anger the fact that he could ruin a night so easily, I was done with letting him do it anymore.

"You know what, stop." I stood up from my place moving closer to him. "stop thinking you can do what ever the hell you like and get away with it. Your stood in my house, telling me what I can and can't do with my boyfriend. If I did that to you and Ellie you would tell me to piss off. You can't dictate my life anymore."

"No but you know what I'm not apart in any of this. I was going to wait to tell you but why wait? I'm leaving the band unless James does. Boys it's either me or him."

It is likely to be the epilogue, and then I will mostprobably do a few authors notes with info and blah blah.

I'm so sad it's nearly the ending.

But in a way I'm happy to.
